Basic Info

Hachi Ten'ahn (hAH-chEE ~ ten-AHn) is a Keeper of the Moon female who is best known for her two toned hair and insatiable curiosity. She currently resides in Limsa Lominsa working as an errand runner in the lower decks of the city. She is never short on energy or words, which can make her a real handful. However, despite the energy Hachi demands of those who cross her path, she is a fiercely loyal companion to the bitter end.

History

Hachi is a member of a small Keeper tribe originally from the north eastern part of the continent. The first years of her life were relatively peaceful, living amongst her sisters and brothers in the comfort of a rich forest that surrounded a deep river. It was when the Garlean Empire made a large push to expand into the city-states that her tribe's home and way of life was threatened. It was only a matter of a few short years before their forest home was overcome by the empire and they were forced to flee.

Her family was able to secure passage aboard an airship that would fly them safely to the distant Limsa Lominsa, where many of their cousins had begun a new life years ago. However, in route, the airship encountered a severe tempest. The ship crashed into the channel below that separated Limsa Lominsa from the main continent. Miraculously, Hachi survived and drifted upon a piece of the wooden wreckage until she was spotted and pulled from the water by a young Hyur named Grey. Grey's family housed Hachi while waiting to see if any survivors stepped forward to claim her. None did. Days turned to weeks which turned to months, and then years. Hachi remained with Grey's family, doing small odd jobs at the docks of the nautical city's port.

Hachi was content to continue living day to day life in Limsa Lominsa when she encountered a curious Seeker of the Sun who claimed to own a ship...

Personality

Youthful and playful in many ways, Hachi seizes the day at 100%. Hachi is bold, curious, and energetic, which can make her quite the handful. More often than not, her curiosity guides her in whichever direction it likes and she follows completely unafraid of the unknown. This is not to say, however, that she is naive or overly trusting. In fact, Hachi prides herself on having a keen sense of a person's true nature. That being said, she is not the type to hold back for courtesy's sake. She says things as they are, and takes what others say at face value as well. Hidden meanings and reading between the lines are not Hachi's forte.

Though she is relatively straight forward in both her speech and behavior, she is a notorious trickster to those she is close to. While to some her practical jokes and pestering may be bothersome, it is Hachi's way of showing affection. Though she may pretend to be upset by pranks thrown back at her, she truly enjoys it. A prank-war is the ultimate challenge for Hachi, and she never backs down from a challenge.

Beneath her excitable exterior Hachi is a very loyal friend who forms bonds quickly with those she likes. Though she may put forward a fiery facade to those she is unfamiliar with, she is extremely sensitive to the mood of her companions. Hachi is the type to never turn her back on someone important to her, and she will go out of her way to improve their sour mood. That being said, her compassionate side is one that will sometimes peek through when she thinks no one is watching.
