Basic Info

Has both dark green and black hair due to an accident involving a spell and and cloth dyes, has amber colored eyes and most of the time is seen wearing glasses. Bears a scar across his forehead and nose and a golden tattoo across his face.

Has a high affinity for black magic, however has a strong distaste for conflict and so decided to try becoming a conjurer instead; however it is more difficult for him and due to the fact that he can´t always commune with the spirits of nature so every now and then a healing spell would draw upon his own force, weakening him.

Has very gbad stamina so he dislikes most types of physical activity and while he enjoys places with high bodies of water he has difficulty swiming so he is always aware of the risk of drowningd. Has a very high tolerance to warm climates, and on the opposite side has a lot of trouble when dealing with the cold so most of the time he wears long sleeved clothing.

History

His father belonged to a long line of feared monks belonging to The Fists of Rhalgr who had resigned to his position by going into hiding due to the inestability in Ala Mihigo; while traveling through the Black Shroud he met and fell in love with a young scholar who happened to be researching the local area. Perhaps due to their different backgrounds they shared a night and as a result they gave life to a small boy with amber colored eyes and decided to stay together and raise him in the forest. Not too long after this the mad King Theodoric rose to power and wiped the order of monks from existence and so, fearing for his recently created family he decided to never practice his art again and instead supported his wife who, being taught the way of the arcanist since an early youth, tried to educate their son in a suitable environment full of knowledge.

Eventually their different views on life and personalities caused a lot of trouble and this coupled with some rumors about the mad king followers still roaming the lands and the fact that her family had disowned her due to her marriage with a commoner became too much to bear for the inexperienced couple; even the arrival of a second child could not salvage several years of an estranged family life, therefore their relationship came to an end: him deciding to go into hiding as a refugee and trying to sneak into the northern lands of Ishgard while she deciding to go to an unkown location alongside his younger sister. Due to this feeling of abandonment by both of his parents and feeling betrayed the boy become an apprentice for an elderly botanist who provided a roof for him until his death of old age a few years ago

During the next few years he decided to try and resume his conjurer´s training while also started to focus on botany more as a means to make a living therefore interrupting his traineing in the healing arts for the moment, however he recently came to the knowledge of different places in Eorza with wonderful sights and hearing rumors about a traveler recording them on his log is thinking on setting out to satisfy his thirst for adventure and start travelling the lands to see these new landscapes.

Personality

Tends to be very polite at all times when dealing with strangers, and when trying to engage in casual conversation tends to be somewhat clumsy. Dislikes conflict so is always looking for a compromise or a way to “meet in the middle” so at times he can give off the appearance of someone weak willed who is willing to go with the flow rather than risking offending someone. Has a rather simple taste, always preferring simple foods as opposed to fancy or expensive dishes, tends to be frugal due to being very conservative and stretching his gil but always carries a satchel with an assortment of fruits. Likewise when it comes to clothes he usually wears simple robes or cowls or the occasional leather outfit and is often lugging around book to read when relaxing under a tree or sitting alone at the pub. Has a very weak tolerance to alcohol and tends to get extremely chatty and honest when intoxicated (discovered after an embarrassing accident involving what he thought was Noble grapes juice) needless to say, he only drinks on very rare occasions and never mode than a pint of mead. Always carries a worn book around and when in an unusual situation or when nervous likes to flip through the pages. He is very curious about other races, and more than once has caught himself staring at the occasional Miqo´te or Roegadyn around the woods or at the Inn. When approached directly by one of them tends to be very shy but if someone manages to crack his shell he can be very talkative. Due to his continuous study of the flora he is often seen dealing with botanists and merchants and he tends to be at ease when in proximity to someone wearing the Twin Adder´s uniform due to bumping into their patrols on a usual basis when wandering the woods. Doesn´t have many friends and due to the troubled family life he had because of the different cultural backgrounds he has trouble understanding the idea of love, and although he can be prone to crushes and act awkward / clumsy around them he will not willingly purse any romantic interests. Is not particularly religous which might have something to do with his trouble when commuting with nature. Can be a bit lazy at times and every now and then ikes to procrastinate. Is very bad at cooking and even though he can read his handwriting is so bad sometimes even he can´t understand it.

Dislikes petulant people and has a strong distaste for most forms of hierarchy including nobility and politics, that being said he understands that things like this are necessary and that people are not always what they seem on the inside so is always willing to give the benefit of the doubt or play devil´s advocate. Tends to avoid talking about his family except the occasional anecdote and very few people know that he had a sister, if asked will try to change the topic or say as little as possible. Avoids talking about his scar, if insisted assures the reason is a very silly one. Tends to avoid baked sweets / pastries, except if given as a gift, at which he will be extremely thankful. Is a bad leader and would rather be a follower than to be in charge of a group Doesn´t like to ask for favors without offering something in return, which can result in him refusing to admit when he needs help. Gets angry when someone mentionts anything relating to Ishgard. Gets sad when someone questions him about his face tatoo

Affiliations

Due to his dislike for hierarchy he doesn´t belong to any organization "formally" with the exception of the conjurer and the botanist´s guilds, however he considers himself a full Gridanian and is in good standing with some of the gridanian Twin Adder soldiers as well as the different merchants due to his business relationship with them.

Other Notes

Will avoid fighting as much as possible, up to the point of surrendering himself if that can prevent it. Will not actively pursue romantic relationships but will value making new friends. When surrounded by several people his natural shyness can cause him to "clam up" and take more of an observer role / not talking as often. Is comfortable not being the center of attention, because of this he ´d rather stay on the sidelines.
