Roda Lee is a young Hyur, born to an Ala Mhigan scholar and a soldier. Having left the Gyr Albania highlands just before the fall of the monarchy and subsequent Garlean occupation, he and his sister gleefuly turned to piracy for a living. Certain events during the Calamity shook his world, however, and he has since hung up his axe. He is currently in the process of fumbling his way through the art of healing--keeping himself and others alive instead of senselessly risking his own.

Appearance & Personality

Incredibly short for someone with Highlander blood, Roda stands at only 5 fulms, 6 ilms. He has a somewhat feminine face (not somethinng he necessarily minds), but his axe-swinging years have left him with some musculature, something he's proud of. Despite the fact that he would now be considered a full-time magic user, he likes to keep himself in shape by going on runs whenever he can. His dusky complexion comes from a combination of his genetics and long days in the sun, although if he were to be honest with himself he rather dislikes the heat and prefers to wear loose clothing to mitigate this. He has a dusting of white freckles across his cheeks, but whether they're naturally-occurring or simply painted on he refuses to tell.

Roda's personality is best described as "sweet, but woefully reckless." He enjoys helping others but has a tendency to give bad advice. Energetic and capricious, he loves action and gets anxious easily if not given something interesting to do, which makes adhering to his healing studies difficult for him. He has a bad habit of drinking himself into a stupor when he's upset, though at his sister's behest he's taking strides to curb this. Roda doesn't have extensive memories of Ala Mhigo as he was very young when his family left, so he doesn't feel like he "belongs" as close to his heritage as his sister does. He tried visiting Little Ala Mhigo once to look for his mother, but found little useful information and the experience made him feel entirely uncomfortable and out of place.
