Character
General
There are many different opinions that could be had on Jayley, but the most common description would be stoic. Following logic and reason to the point of being a flaw, she is ever keeping those around her on the proper track of life. It is seldom to see the woman crack a smile or indulge in humor, and she is prone to bare down on her target of conversation with an unblinking and piercing stare of violent orbs. Ears and tail prove to be the most animated part of her body, swaying, perking and lifting depending on the hidden interest behind her ever neutral expression.
A greater portion of her life has been spent studying the art of arcanum in both present and history, conducting what research she may to further the craft on the fields of mending. If given the option, Jayley far prefers to avoid conflict and to fall back on that of diplomacy. When push comes to shove, though, she will do what she must to get the results desired. Currently her time is most spent managing the abundant resources of Solace, a mercenary company based out of Ul'dah. Though should she have her way, they would never tread into battle.

Face Paint
Standing at a meager 5 fulms 5 ilms, Jayley Salyt is no more than a common woman in appearance. Deep purple locks frame her round and tanned face, pulled back into twin tails to keep it easy to work with. Despite her logical attitude and modern demeanor, she wakes every morning to reapply the tribal face paint that is so common amongst her clan. Whether or not she believes in the myth of the vibrant colours giving lunar powers is unknown, but it is a habit she never goes without completing. Bright, round violent orbs stare on with an unwavering lack of expression, making it nigh impossible to judge just what the woman is thinking for sure. Her lips are soft but not overtly full, the white tips of her fangs always poking through as when she speaks.
Jayley is a lithe woman, her body thin and bust an average size. She is quite obviously built for speed of avoiding attacks, or perhaps for avoiding combat all together. It's highly unlikely one would catch her swinging let alone being able to lift an axe anytime soon. Her fingertips are worn and calloused from hours of writing and turning of pages in old tomes, and her tail is long with a brighter tip, the fur kept well trimmed.
As for attire, she is most commonly found in a set of well kept robes and skirts. Not a stitch looks to be out of place on them, and it is obvious they are regularly cleaned and tended to. Satchels, book bags, and her spell book are another set of items it is rare to see her without. What they are filled with, though, is a mystery.
Personality
Stoic, blunt, and perhaps a little too honest. It isn't uncommon for Jayley's personality to be considered harsh or combative, and she seems quite aware of this. She has little problem speaking her mind, nor pointing out the flaws in thoughts, theories or plans. But it is not because she believes others to be unintelligent that she does this. She truly wishes to keep those around her safe, and if being bluntly honest keeps them in one piece, she will happily accept the consequences.
She is not without compassion and caring. Matronly in the way she is swift to deliver life lessons and set in her ways of morals, she is quick to aid her comrades in whichever way they need. Although do try to avoid raising her ire.
Combat
General
Combat is generally what Jayley prefers to avoid. That does not mean she fears the battlefield, though, and does not hesitate to charge in if her skills of mending or protection of an ally are needed. As for offensive, Jayley relies on the formula based spells from her spellbook combined with her agility.
