Harlowe grew up reading books after books on everything from different cultures to the most fantastic adventures in all of Eorzea. He took up his fathers trade and became an apprentice blacksmith at age 12 and further trained himself in the arts of an armorer. Harlowe's love for combat came to him at a young age, he would sneak into the Eternal Flame training camp and watch them perform in their weapon and training exercises. He would memorize their stances and mimic them on a training dummy back at his fathers workshop.
