"How many coins does one need to pay for a future? Is the measure simply in the weight alone? or is it in their value? Perhaps that question lies with the merchant in which one deals with. Sadly, this one seems dead set in his price. A man of commitment- that can be respected, but does little good for the buyer. He pleads with every fiber of his being- but the merchant maintains there's nothing he can do. They both know the unspoken law of Ul'dah, but emotions are a fickle thing. It only takes an hour before the conversation is over, the buyer slinking away from wherever he came from.

General

Kukuri is a Dunesfolk Lalafell, hailing from Ul'dah. He is the second child of five (Two Boys and Three Girls), born to a day labourer and a midwife peasent family. He comes from poor origins as the family is constantly the victim of fiancial schemes and penny pinching.

Working as a Free Retainer and doing the occasional odd job, Kukuri tries his best to support his family in these uncertain times. However, to be young is to dream, and Kukuri is no exception to this rule...

Appearance

Kukuri is young, Only just a man of Nineteen and still has the veil of youth to decorate his apperance. However, a childhood of labour and poor access to sanitation has had their affect, As dirt and grime decorate the boy- from the dirt under his nails and on his face; to the stained and worn clothing he wears. He is adorned with aged brass and worn iron as jewelery- along with a gemstone dedicated to Byregot adorned in a crest on his forehead. His most precious piece of jewelery however, is a feather circlet from his father- thats adorned with a chocobo feather and is almost never seen without it.

Kukuri himself stands taller then most Lalafell- And weighs just about as much (most of it being muscle, instead of fat.). His build is rather slender instead of being fully robust from lacking Nutrition and his skin is paler then most of his fellow desert folk.

Kukuri takes most of his visage from his mother- Inheriting her ruby eyes and blonde hair. She also tattooed the blue streaks under his eyes- as to help keep a close eye on her child amongst the many. However, Physically, he resembles his father and the remaining question is when he'll grow his facial air.

Personality

Whilst he'd like to tote himself as a 'piss and vinegar' kind of guy and does his best to act as an adult, Kukuri is still a child at heart. His wants are often petty, trite or otherwise reflectant of the desire to grow up.

He follows what many of his friends and folks call 'The Rules Of Ul'dah'- A guideline of rules and code to help their fellow Lalafell, giving him a solid set of ethtics to live by (as he pleases). He's also charming and charismatic- often relying on wit and apperance to avoid dangerous conversations.

The boy is however greedy to a fault, ambitious and has a bit of an ego, nurtured by the need to support his family. A life of Peasantry, labor and avoiding conflict also leaves him weak to the effects of shock and fear- potentially crumbling or breaking spirit in a bad situation.

Growing up in Ul'dah has left him jaded and vocal about the local issues (Which for him, is the entire world) but managed to be fortunate enough to not witness most of the horrible things that the citizens don't speak about. He leans full Royalist in his political leanings.

Friends And Allies Derrick Kasier ● - The Deaf Guy What happens when someone who cant read, meets a man who cant hear? Shenanigans! Despite an awkward first impressions of each other, they hit off it off very well. The man even bought him his first drink (Though a bit too strong for him) and is a welcome face for Kukuri. Seras Dragon ♥ - Grindstone and Actual Partner. Meeting her on his first venture to the grindstone, she was his first opponent in his life. They've gotten to know each other rather well- And she has served as an inspiration for the boy to keep coming back to the grindstone, Always stronger and trying to conquer his fears. Her doting and gifts however, did rise a few questions, and in the end, it turned out that they had grown to fancy each other. Whilst inexperienced about matters of the heart, Kukuri is willing to try listening to it for once.

Acquaintances Yvenalise Tachibana ● - Bush Tripping Kitty Kukuri met Yvenalise by having her nearly trip over him, whilst he was hiding in a bush. Afterwards, they would meet again as opponents in a later grindstone- In which Kukuri broke her spear in twine (A fact that she seemingly wont let him live down). Face to face, he cannot decipher her at all- On one hand, she has a weird dialect that gives her an innocent air. On the other hand, she terrifies the hell out of him and is a daunting figure to be around, despite her subtle gestures. as it stands, they seem to be friendly with each other and she seems to like him. He doesn't know how long this will last, or if she's simply coming to collect on the fact he snapped her spear. Enemies
