Character

♦ General

Born during spring in the nation of Ishgard, Dantro was orphaned instantly after his mother died giving birth to him. His father had passed away before his birth and so nobody could take care of the newly born Dantro or his older brother Desmond. That didn't last long however, for soon they were adopted by the young noble woman named Docette Ziman. Docette was a friend of their mother, daughter of the wealthy noble Helouix Ziman, and a somewhat peculiar woman despite her status. She had no intention to remarry after being widowed and she certainly didn't hesitate when her "commoner" friends children were left alone, adopting them into the family and raising them as her own despite she being an elezen and the children hyuran.

Dantro grew up in a loving household that was also very easy going despite their noble status and despite rumours and whispering from others they were generally accepted. That's not to say times couldn't be hard however, especially among other children who didn't think twice before they opened their mouth.

Dantro and his family realized that he at a young age had a talent for healing, something apparently inherited from his mother and her side of the family, but because even the noble sons had to engage in the war against dragons Dantro just barely got a chance to pursue it. Being talented with the polearm didn't make it better, and although he studied astrology for some time he was constantly forced to train as a soldier.

At the age of 15 Dantro moved to his godfather Amauri Iseterre in Gridania to study conjury, and during this time he would meet the exiled thief Xiau'sa Epocan. They were secret friends for a long time until they started a relationship that unfortunately wouldn't last for very long. Xiau'sa were at constant risk of being found and it put a lot of pressure on Dantro who finally ended it all by exploding, yelling and leaving.

Xiau'sa was later thought to be dead in an "accident", and this left the quite dramatic midlander utterly devastated. He blamed himself for it and he decided to leave Gridania. Circumstances however left him in Ul'dah, the young and naive Dantro ending up being kidnapped and taken to Ul'dah. He managed to escape however and had to survive as a sellsword.

Being a sellsword at the young age of 16 however wasn't easy and it wasn't uncommon that people would take advantage of him. Scar after scar, both mental and physical, was almost unbearable for him and it lasted until right before his 19th nameday. He got recruited into a group named Fireborn and finally got the chance to study his magic, him becoming a skilled healer in an extremely short time. Months went by, he re-established contact with his family again and decided to leave Fireborn in order to get some peace in his life.

He currently stays at the pirate ran inn of Grimm together with his newly found partner Nitram Selanah, working as a healer and doctor receiving people in his office/clinic. He wants to return to Ishgard sometime soon, but at the moment he doesn't have the courage to face his family after all these years.

♦ Appearance

Despite his young age, the hyur's body is covered in almost terrifyingly many scars, three big ones visibly marking his face. With pale skin and blue eyes as a contrast to his raven black hair, Dantro doesn't even resemble his biological older brother at all. He is remarkably short for a midlander and with a surprisingly small build. Despite that he is physically strong and can carry other people or heavy things in general without much trouble.

♦ Behaviour

Dantro have always been hard to read, the midlander usually keeping a neutral expression that doesn't really say much about his current mood. Instead of expressing how he feels he prefers to bottle it all up, leaving him quite upset when people, surprisingly enough, aren't mindreaders. He is seemingly calm and collected most of the time, but he have a very dramatic side to him which have been the cause of much misfortune in his life. He is better now however that he is able to control his temper. His life and the events in it have forced him to grow up very quickly, and extremely few believe him at first when he reveals his young age.

● Docette Ziman – Mother and one of the closest to Dantro. While they haven't seen each other in three years they maintain contact once more, and Dantro would do everything to see her again.

● Desmond Ziman – Brother and also one of the closest to Dantro. Ever since they were orphaned Desmond have always been protective of his little brother.

● Amauri Iseterre – Godfather and the father figure in Dantro's life. They work really well together and Amauri have been supporting Dantro economically now that they're in contact again.

● Raylenn Zoltar – A young miqo'te lass around Dantro's age whom he have been acquainted with for some time now. Her endless energy and optimism often leaves a smile on his lips.

● Enla Kertuh – Though none of them are in Fireborn anymore, Enla is still someone Dantro respects and looks up to.

● Estelle Lovell – A doman culinarian he met in Fireborn and brought with him to Grimm Inn Homestead.

● Lho Physaria – Though they've only talked briefly for a few times, Lho have left a good impression on Dantro.

● Ka'in Thal - All he knows is that the hyur pickpocketed Nitram, and that's all Dantro needs to hear in order to despise Ka'in.
