Much of Sayo's life is a mystery. One could assume that something terrible happened to her, judging from her inability to find joy in most things and the coldness with which she carries out her work. Her parents are—or were—priests in Doma, and she was supposedly being trained to follow in their footsteps... but she has since taken up the axe and dagger instead. She arrived in Eorzea with other Doman refugees, and began a personal quest of sorts to find something she can become passionate about.

Quiet, Secretive, Mysterious, Phlegmatic, Unrelenting

LIKES ■ Food & Cooking -- One of the only things Sayo has any care for, it would seem. In fact, she cares about it so much that she meticulously puts together beautiful dishes. One would wonder why she hasn't simply taken a job as a chef. ■ Fashion -- For one reason or another, the only other thing she openly cares about is fashion and being fashionable. Her clothes are always of well make and clearly expensive, even down to the armor she wears on the job.

DISLIKES ■ Alcohol -- She'll tell you she hates it because it clouds the mind.

QUIRKS & SKILLS ■ Aloof -- Despite having very little she cares about, there's also very little she hates. She doesn't seem to have very many strong feelings in general, except about cooking and fashion. ■ Protective -- Perhaps in direct contrast to much of her apparent nature, Sayo is very protective, especially of children. She'd sooner see herself die than let someone be hurt.

A P P E A R A N C E

■ Body: Petite, but solid. Under her clothes she sports a toned musculature over an hourglass shape, because of which she'll sometimes comment that she's not very befitting of a Raen. Her tail is a medium length and a bit thick. ■ Skin: A deep russet, more on the brown end, peppered with scars here and there but almost never dirty. Mostly soft, though her hands are rough. Her scales also are scarred and chipped in some places, and a few seem to be outright missing, but fortunately it's not too noticeable. ■ Hair: Naturally very light ash brown, almost white. Currently died dark brown. Usually a little frazzled, but not outright messy. She changes the style often; sometimes it's a ponytail, sometimes it's down, sometimes short and sometimes long. One can find her hair in pretty much any style. ■ Eyes: Bright seafoam; contrast against her dark skin and thus look even more brilliant than they already are. A very bored expression often sits behind them.

■ Clothes: Fashionable, trendy, and well-made and expensive, and usually shades of green and black. She seldom wears skirts or dresses, believing herself to be too non-feminine to suit them. Shoes are almost always heavy boots. Her armor is intricate as well, and clearly cared for well. ■ Jewelry: Aside from small bangles on her horns, none. Jewelry could pose a hazard to her line of work. ■ Voice: Low, quiet, with a slight monotone and a Doman accent. She doesn't speak Eorzean fluently either, though her speech isn't necessarily broken.
