The first impression Ardam often makes is not usually a favorable one. He can come off as crude and overtly sarcastic, or just downright brooding and quiet. This is not the result of being misunderstood or hard to read, but that of caution, unwilling to take people at face value. That being said, he does not favor bitterness over enjoying himself, and remains quite out of his shell in public places when among friends. | The first impression Ardam often makes is not usually a favorable one. Appearance
((As proven via pictures, Ardi's look has slightly altered a bit over the year. Despite that, it can and should be assumed he has always appeared as he does presently.))
Ardam stands at 6'2 and possesses a muscular, athletic build. He has tanned skin and deep set, brown eyes, and lighter, brown hair. He is moderately handsome; hightened cheekbones, square jaw, and slight, angular chin. Black, striped tattoos line his face ranging upward from the sides of his neck, horizontal across the cheeks and below the eyes, as well as vertically above his eyes. His brown facial hair is typically kept to the minimum, displaying little more than stubble. In addition to his facial ink, Ardam takes further pride in his griffin tattoo; a black, sidelong silhouette of the bird's head printed on his upper left arm, ranging from below the shoulder to above the elbow.
Despite lack of scars on his face, Ardam's history of combat is better displayed throughout his torso, arms and legs. While not enough to warrant the assumption that he is a battle hardened warrior, the highlander is still marked with over half a dozen former wounds. His body reveals a past of enduring cuts, slashes, stabs, and broken bones throughout the torso and limbs.
Having recently begun a more extensive, rigorous, and disciplinary form of training along with a considerable decline in consumption, Ardam's physique has improved all the more as of late.
Personality
((Still working on)) The first impression Ardam often makes is not usually a favorable one.
He has little regard for mind games and riddles, preferring to lay everything out on the table. He is outspoken and does not shy from confrontation, believing honesty and openness to be a swift way in deciding if someone is worth spending time with and getting to know.
Though he despises manipulation, he often finds himself disappointed or angered at himself for rarely learning his lesson in becoming the target for mind games. Even always on guard, he can still fall prey to those who master the art, which could be the reason as to why he takes time and patience before he opens up and grows on you.
Ardam portrays a sense of stoicism in the face of hardship, and often only confides in those few he trusts enough to reveal his inner struggle.
Despite how difficult it may prove to become friends or ally with him, Ardam remains a passionate person, and will not hesitate to protect those he loves at any cost. He is a fierce ally, and an even fiercer friend, willing to disregard his honor, morale's, or health in aiding them. Should he ever consider himself your brother, it would be a hard thing to shake him of that bond, as he will stand by you through even the most extreme of disagreements. It would take a devastating betrayal to break his resolve.
Ardam remains stubborn in his ways, having a open minded perspective and recognizing things through shades of gray. Though he has a definitive understanding of what is right and wrong, Ardam perceives most things as not so black and white. He is less of an idealist and acts more on emotion and from the heart.
Not one to shy from comforts or feasts for the senses, Ardam takes pleasure when and where he can find it. He does not hesitate from engaging in events, contests, or least of all parties, and does not take enjoyment possible to him in life for granted.

Equipment & Magic
Armor
Typically garbed in various forms of cloth, linen, and/ or leather which are often decorated with griffon shaped embroidery and metalwork.
Weapons
Proficient in the art of Lance use and even more proficient in Pugilism, favored among the arsenal are a pair of fist weapons hand crafted by Aean Deschain himself. Flat gloved, they are quipped with a dozen, small pointed spikes protruding from the edge, promising painful impact. The metal, engraved with gold and silver etchings, proves even more flashy when drawn. Expertly embedded within the core of the solid material lies essence of fire crystals, the aura of which shine red in a distorted heat wave upon unsheathed. Indeed, the craftsmanship is a spectacle to behold.
Also in possession are a standardized sword and shield, and battle axe, all of which are often neglected. Less so ignored are the bow and lance, which are often used in training or hunting, neither of which are yet used as often or presented with much care and showmanship as the fist weapons.
A hunting dagger is often seen strapped and sheathed within the belt on person. The handle is plain and ordinary looking, and while holding no sentimental value, is used keenly for carving, skinning, and when the occasion desperately calls for it; combat.
Magic
Lacking in any basic or fundamental skill toward spells and magic, the closest thing in possession is the knowledge and ability to invigorate oneself through the course of meditation.
Biography
((The details of this History are presented in point form for the sake of simplicity. I have no desire to take the time and arrange these events to coincide with the lore's timezone to perfection, nor fill space with a convoluted mess of details and characters when I can get the point across briefly just as well. And if you're anything like me, you prefer not to sweep through endless walls of text just to get a feel for someone else's character. If you find anything of note worth rectifying and feel the need to notify me, please do. That being said, this point form format will now be a permanent result of the final draft, and should no longer be considered a work in progress.))
