Basic Information

Someone's first impression of Cerelaut can vary dramatically depending on the kind of company at the time. What never seems to change however is the aging man's attentiveness to the wellbeing of others- especially those who he as over time come to "dad" over.

Appearance & Personality

Standing a little shorter than than the average elezen, his thin, wiry (and mildly feminine) frame does little to help his appearance. Hair that was once a pale blonde colour now sports more silver and white strands that rest down to the bottom of his back- when not wound up into an expertly formed bun at least. His entire body features scars that vary from thin and wiry across his torso to thick and knotted around his hands and legs. Many though are hidden beneath the tattoos that cover 90% the elezen's body from the neck down with scripts and beasts to runes and intricately wound patterns; some even trailing onto the undersides of his feet. General dress preference varies from a basic, loose fitting cotton shirts and pants to form hugging and heat saving leathers and padded cloth depending on the situation, each piece chosen and worn for its comfort above anything else.

Known Background

Cerelaut's life began on the outskirts of the Shroud with parents who doted on him entirely. Due to experiences Cerelaut doesn't tend to favour sharing he ended up with a prospering arcanist school within the forest itself that sought to recreate the ability to recreate without the lost knowledge of Nym. There he learnt, enthusiastically, for the next decade before expanding to do his own research on the side. Few know what happened in those last few months and even less are wont to speak of it, but it is said that the spinner turned a blind eye to the young elezen that day and he fled the Shroud to hide himself from those that would follow. Details of what made up the majority of those next 4 decades rare leaves his lips, and even less so when not in the company of those he entirely trusts. It is however known to those who lived or frequented Ul'dah and the surrounding areas during that time that he was a common face to be seen to and from some of the more influential persons residences. Regardless, not long after Cerelaut used the skills he gained within those previous years to become a host and mentor for entertainment companies, disappearing for months at a time before returning in a much better state and eventually becoming entirely freelance with his independent tattoo studio.

Miscellaneous

Rumours Some of these rumors are untrue or are greatly exaggerated. ◢ Common Rumors (Easily overheard) ■ The tattoos covering the man's body are almost entirely his own work- the ones he can reach at least. ■ Said tattoos are believed to feature everything from prayers and ancient scrips to rainbow carbuncles and leaves that may or may not be suspiciously dick shaped. ■ Often referred to as "Grandma". Cerelaut's age and somewhat feminine appearance may be the cause of this, but its difficult to be sure. ◢ Moderate Rumors (Moderately difficult to overhear) ■ Though still very much in its experimental stages, Cerelaut is developing away to infuse aether into ink in such a way that it is safe to reside within the skin for a multitude of functions. So far he's only managed to create a number of colours that glow, but it's early days. ◢ Rare Rumors (Very difficult or rarely overheard) ■ Cerelaut may have fathered a child at some point during his time in Ul'dah. If it is true, the status of the child and the circumstances of conception remain a mystery. ■ There was a time that he was involved with the void where it tainted his body, and it was only after a long disappearance north that the corruption seemed to have left him. ◢ PC Rumors (Rumors from the character's of other players) Feel free to add your own! ■ ■

Current Relations ♥ Sexual Desire ♥ Romantic Interest ♥ Platonic Love ● Good Standing ● Neutral Standing ● Poor Standing ● Julien Fortier- Julien had taken a liking to Cerelaut from the beginning and between this attention and the nickname 'Kitten' had caused him to become entire enamoured by the old Inquisitor. As time went on he gradually became a kind of mentor who he feels he owes much to for making helping him into the position he's in today- so much so that he made a promise to keep Julien's fiancé Amedee alive, no matter the cost. ● Amedee Delacroix- The two had found themselves very much at odds at first, though never for any real discernible reason. After Cerelaut saved the young duskwight's life, the old man was considered-begrudging- somewhat reliable and this fact is the reason that he now finds himself with both a job and a home for the first time in his life. Over time Cere found himself coming to both respect and care for Amedee which has only come to solidify the promise he made to Julien long ago. ● Avellino Chante- Until recently it was difficult to see one of them around without the other, and often once again, more as a necessity than a want. Since the duskwight's short period of absence however it seems that their relationship has improved dramatically to the point that one will often speak about the other with an almost fondness. ● Qenva'li Lanbatal- All is known about this ashen-skinned seeker is that he has a history with the aging elezen- and it isn't a great one. Despite this, any trying to keep the mystery Miqo'te from seeing or dealing with Cerelaut have been shooed away for reasons neither are wont to disclose. Their relation is an unenthusiastic necessity for him at best.
