Appearance

Kiana could accurately be described as "petite" - she is small framed and short, although with a fairly athletic build, much like a dancer or endurance runner. For a long time she kept her hair in long, well kept dread locks that hung nearly to her waist, but recently she has appeared with it straight and just past shoulder length. Her hair is a shade of indigo which she claims is natural, although it had previously been black with red streaks, so this can be taken with a grain of salt. Her attire tends to be on the revealing side; she prefers to refer to it as "unrestrictive".

Personality

Despite being an immigrant Kiana has never really known a time when her family wasn't wealthy. Because of this she can come across as a bit spoiled at times. She can be very coy, not liking to speak about herself much and usually answering most questions with another question.She is witty and more than a little sarcastic, but still with a certain level of poise expected of someone who grew up among the Ul'Dah aristocracy.

Still, to those that have earned her trust she is fiercely loyal. Most who know her well would agree she has a good heart; she may tease, but isn't cruel about it and considers it more a sign of playful camaraderie. If she feels she has slighted someone she will go to great lengths to make amends. She will go out of her way to help others when able, and for a time worked with an organization to help free and reintegrate slaves (which again she rarely speaks of).

Abilities and Skills

Kiana is well educated, being able to speak, read and write multiple languages. While not a genius by far, she is bright and able to pick up on new ideas quickly. She is also creative and able to think quickly on her feet and react to changing situations. She is naturally graceful and athletic - she exercises often and is slightly stronger than average for her size. Most of her athleticism is focused more on endurance and speed than strength, however.

She is a good dancer and it would seem has some training in gymnastics, along with a talented pianist. She also has some proficiency in hand to hand combat. When asked she usually shrugs it off as "a Doman thing".

Kiana's parents immigrated from Doma when she was just born - before she had even reached a full year of age she was told, from a small settlement on an island known for little save fishing and textiles. Her father was a trader, her mother a house wife, and after hearing early rumors of the Garleans starting to build up their forces, Kai gathered his family and what he could to travel West. Upon reaching Ul'dah Kai translated the family name to Morninglight, and began to sell his "exotic wares". Doman textiles, clothing and tea became a new trend among Ul'Dah elites wishing for something exotic that they could show off to their peers. As the Morninglight family became more wealthy Kai was able to start shipping over more wares, sometimes in less than legal channels.

Kai has begun to groom his son, Raan to run the family's merchant interests. Nami over sees their finances and mingles with other well to do families, keeping abreast of all the gossip of Ul'Dah she can.
