A little monster hunter who's ready for her first adventure outside La Noscea, making her first stop just down the coastline at Ul'Dah and the lands beyond. She's prepared to put her punching and cleaving skills to the test and claim victory against whatever comes her way. Along the way she's hoping to get into exciting shenanigans and make friends too! She's exactly what she seems; a bundle of energy and excitement. When she's not picking fights and trying to send voidsent back to the shadow realm, Yami takes great joy in the card game of Triple Triad. She's not very good at it, but it's one of her dearest passions all the same. Her deck of playing cards is usually kept on her person, and she'll gladly accept duels if the chance arises. Non-Combat Traits & Skills: ■ Rough and Tumble Tater ■ Mitigates fall damage, and doesn't break bones as easily. Potentially just more bouncy than average, or expertly practiced while tackling siblings and monsters. Probably both. ■ That Which Binds ■ Excellent at tying/untying especially sturdy knots, a skill learned from her father while working around La Noscean docks. Combat Abilities Skills: ■ Little Miss Fighter ■ In the heat of battle, accuracy is lowered and attacks aren't as precise. Either she's way too excited or can't focus on the targets at hand, causing attacks to miss more often. Usually balanced by the fact that she'll hit with harder strikes if they do land. ■ Get a Grip! ■ Adept at clinging onto things and holding on tight, as well as grappling things and climbing too. It may prove considerably difficult to remove her if she's latched onto something with any degree of determination. Difficult to disarm. ■ Axe/Unarmed Proficiency ■ By no means a master or even expert, Yami has been trained in the ways of the marauder and may be considered an adept with the axe. She has excellent potential with unarmed combat, and could land several mean hits, but nothing devastating yet. A Keeper encountered in Central Thanalan, where she helped untangle his fishing line. She's convinced that he's the most incredible fisher ever, and is excited to keep learning all about this strange new hobby! K'rafubhe, the foodmaker - (Stranger) Yami's Thoughts: "She reminds me of the bhe'be!" This delightful Seeker cooked slightly charred breakfast for the little Lalafell once, and Yami appreciates that a whole lot. She also enjoys her sense of humour, and definitely intends to hang out around the food stand she works at. Kalivet Fal, the scowling one - (Clearly Best Friend) Yami's Thoughts: "Definitely needs more hugs! Gentle hugs. She creaks." Kalivet made the mistake of drawing attention to herself and not walking away fast enough. Now Yami is convinced they're awesome friends and is extra curious about this oh-so-mysterious woman. She seems entirely oblivious to the Elezen's attempts to snub, insult and generally ditch her. Skilled or not, Yami has an unhealthy habit of breaking into Kalivet's apartment. Gavani Mavani, the fisherman - (Father) Yami's Thoughts: "What a boring old toad, ha! He's the best!" Gavani Mavani was overjoyed with the blessing of a daughter after five sons, even if he wasn't expecting such an unruly and rambunctious child. He considers himself blessed all the same, but quietly regrets that she never quite took to fishing like he'd hoped. Yokoko Yoko, the weaver - (Mother) Yami's Thoughts: "She made a lot of awesome kids, but I'm the best one!" Yokoko Yoko loves all of her children dearly, even Yami at her wildest. She hopes that the little warrior will use that energy for good and great things, and see so many more lands than she was ever able to. Yolo Swegolo, the eternal - (Brother) Yami's Thoughts: "How does his hair DO that?!" Yolo Swegolo is a young man of his own design, out to forge a destiny not soon to be forgotten. He and his fabulous hair are sweeping across the lands of Eorzea and beyond, crafting ballads and wondrous tales all the while. He still writes to Yami frequently while traveling the world, keeping in touch with his parents as well to provide them with exploits they didn't ask for. Yami thinks he's a really cool dude and wishes she had her brother's level of style. Yonful Hatoful, the kind one - (Brother) Yami's Thoughts: "Sheesh, what's gotten into him lately anyway...?" Born into a family of chaotic siblings, Yonful Hatoful was often the victim of Yami's rough-housing during their youth(although she insists that it was just playing around). In a desperate effort to hide from his sister Yami, he would often hide in the neighbour's dodo loft and seek solace with the overweight birds. During(and after) their mother lost the use of her legs to illness, he seemed to grow more distant from Yami as he dedicated his studies in an effort to find a cure for Yokoko. Even now there's a sort of tension between Yami and Yonful, the aftermath of a particularly intense disagreement between the two. Yuza Makoza, the layabout - (Brother) Yami's Thoughts: "Sort of a loser, but a REALLY funny one!" Yuza Makoza was once full of energy and zest, but is now just a really lazy Lalafell. He was one of Yami's favourite wrestling buddies as children, and they'd often spar with just about whatever they could get their hands on- much to the alarm of family and neighbours alike. These days he mooches off anyone for food and housing as long as he thinks he can get away with it. Twin brother of Yaru Manaru. Yaru Manaru, the artist - (Brother) Yami's Thoughts: "How's he make a living off this stuff? It's all the same!" Yaru Manaru shares his twin's laid back attitude, taking life as it comes. He's not bothered about terribly much in this world, painting the landscape of La Noscea to earn a living. Has a strong dislike of dodo birds that may or may not stem from Yami chasing him around with them. Twin brother of Yuza Makoza.
