Miira Amerha never wanted the adventuring life, having had comfortable and stable employment since early teenhood as a retainer for a Lominsan soldier. When her employer goes missing one day, leaving all his belongings and savings with her, Miira decides to don his old gear and take up the mantle of an adventurer, retracing his steps across Eorzea in the hope of learning the truth behind his disappearance.

Appearance & Personality

One way to describe Miira would be neat and tidy; at a demure 5 fulms and 5 ilms, she prefers the uniformity of darker colours in her choice of clothing, and tends to dress more for comfort and practicality than for fashion's sake. Physically she doesn't look very strong, but her naturally high stamina allows her to carry weighty loads and walk long distances on foot with only few breaks, something she finds especially useful now as an adventurer.

Personality-wise, she can initially come across as stubborn, bossy and over-serious which does make it difficult to find more-than-temporary travel companions. She does however, care very deeply for those who choose to stay despite this, and will chastise people for not taking care of themselves properly while simultaneously mending their wounds and shoving food into their mouths. She is also incredibly (see: obsessively) particular about organization, and when left with nothing to do will compulsively pack and unpack her own inventory until she is satisfied, much to the chagrin and irritation of would-be companions.

Biography

Childhood

By her own admission, Miira doesn't remember much of her childhood other than that she was born to Keeper parents in the forests of Gridania, and migrated to Limsa Lominsa after her fifth nameday.

She doesn't remember much about her parents either, having lost them to the fires of the Calamity not long after their move. Orphaned and alone, what saved Miira from a life of poverty and starvation was a chance meeting with a displaced Yellowjacket named Henry Grey, who saw the girl's plight and decided to take her in as his ward despite his own dire losses in the wake of the disaster. Henry treated Miira like family but was always hesitant to call himself her adoptive father, seemingly keeping a distance while also trying to raise her and keeping each other company in practice, but strangers in name.
