Basic Info

Kerrath is a mercenary available for hire who specializes in security. He can usually be found wearing very flashy armor, claiming that it's an integral part of the job in that wearing prominent armor makes him appear to be a very competent fighter. This helps him sell his services to prospective employers and also helps him on the job, as the average would-be meddler is actually easily intimidated. As a note, his armor is still functional and he'd never trade function for form--it's just a very flashy suit of armor.

Appearance

Kerrath is tall at least for a Miqo'te and exceptionally muscular. He has bright blue eyes and very pale blonde hair. He has some mostly-healed scars, and very few new ones. He is virtually always wearing his armor unless in a social function that dictates otherwise. His armor is exceptionally ornate, adorned with gold accents and red fabrics, and well-maintained. He stands with a relaxed posture.

History

Kerrath doesn't know his actual birth parents, he was actually raised by complete strangers that worked in a mercenary band, based mostly in Thanalan. He lived his childhood on the road and learned how to handle himself with a sword. While he's definitely proficient with a sword, he realized early on that his job is definitely easier when he doesn't have to use it, so he learned quickly how to deter fights. The mercenary band he grew up with died with its founder, because most of its members barring a core few were transitory at best.

• Physical fitness. Kerrath takes it pretty seriously and is a huge nerd about it.
• Fighting. He doesn't actually like fighting, he actually avoids it whenever and wherever possible, but he takes it seriously.
• Wandering around and learning new stuff. He'll try anything at least once. Super curious guy.

Other Notes

• Kerrath is in exceptional shape. Physical fitness is one of his biggest hobbies both for work and personally.
• Kerrath is biologically a Seeker, but was raised by strangers and doesn't really relate to the Seeker tribal system.
• Most of Kerrath's clients are high-end, but he gives significant discounts to people he cares about, so if you need his services make up a really sad story to get him to personally care.
• Kerrath is a very defensive fighter. In a fight, his goal is rarely to kill the person attacking him and more often he just attempts to prolong the fight until his opponent gives up or grows exhausted.
• Kerrath actually has an extreme distaste for magic and thinks anyone who practices it is foolish and untrustworthy. He'll not say this out loud unless you get him inebriated, though.
