Face:

Gyles presents with square and masculine facial features. He normally sports a short-trimmed beard. Though most of his face suffers not from blemishes, a permanent, vertical scar scores the left side of his face, crossing the corner of his mouth.

Eyes:

Gyles's eyes, though small, are the most pronounced feature of his face- kind and inviting. Both are sky-blue, surrounded by thick, black eyelashes.

Hair:

Gyles's hair changes as the seasons do. During the wintry months, his hair remains an ash-brown. In the spring and summer months, the effect of the sun reddens the hair on his scalp as well as his beard. As a youth his hair was long; as an adult, he keeps it to an almost shaved appearance with intricate designs etched into both temples.

Body:

Gyles's physique is lean, cut, and solid. His decision for peak physical conditioning was impacted by his past in that he feels he must be limber and ready at a moment's notice. Hidden behind everyday clothing is a blotched scar on his abdomen and a gash scar on the left side of his abdomen.

Personality:

Gyles's behavior is situationally dictated. In simple social gatherings he is quiet, reserved, and friendly. In combat he is focused, alert, stern, and demanding of others. In one-on-one interactions he is humorous, direct, and at times charming and intimate. When confronted with personal conflict he is avoidant and distant. In rare circumstance when he cannot communicate effectively, he becomes frustrated and heated. A reason exists for all of these aspects; he does not have a tongue to speak with. He is literally "mute". This isn't to say that lack of speech has drained his intelligence or pushed him into a hermit lifestyle. He is bright and open to meeting new people. Gyles rarely takes the initiative to communicate with others; the loss of his tongue has affected his social/communication efforts to that high of a degree. Rather than reach out to people, he listens, taking in the atompshere provided by others. When other people take in interest in his ideas or position, he will jump on the opportunity to communicate. He now believes that sometimes a facial expression is enough to make his thoughts understood.
