[edit] Details Personality Relationships Rumors Gallery HISTORY It all started when Lukas was about twelve years old. Lukas had been living in an orphanage with several other kids his age, due to the fact that his mother had died years prior and his father had been thrown in jail. The orphanage was on a farm out in Lower La Noscea, most of the other kids seemed content with the lifestyle, though there was a small group of them who had bigger dreams. For the longest, the group simply wished and dreamt of what it would be like to have a life of their own, but didn't act on it, that is until one of the older ones figured it was time to stop letting dreams stay dreams. Lukas admired the conviction the older one had, to be so sure about stepping into the unknown was inspiring to Lukas, so he helped rally up the other kids who were on the fence about the whole thing. One fateful night, this group of about seven boys ran away from the orphanage, taking clothes and food with them as they head to Limsa Lominsa to start living for themselves. The group made their way to Limsa Lominsa and ultimately went their separate ways, the eldest of the group ended up joining the Maelstrom. Lukas was unsure of what to do at this point, he'd been in Limsa for a few days now, homeless and running low on the food he brought. Simply running away from a regular lifestyle to live a regular lifestyle of working seemed kind of pointless to the kid. So, he discovered stealing for himself and decided it was what he was destined to do. He was a small kid and could squeeze into small areas without getting noticed. Lukas would later join a gang of thieves and stick with his newfound brothers and sisters for years until the calamity came. Once the calamity was over, most of Eorzea was in a rebuilding state and thieving became much more popular, competition was rough and plenty of times you'll always run into someone more desperate than yourself. Lukas being eighteen at the time decided he couldn't just limit himself to Limsa any longer, so he began to travel around Eorzea, thieving where he could. One of the places he'd became popular in was Gridania, as that's where he earned his first bounty. He figured it'd be best to lie low for a while, where he moved to do odd-jobs type of work. Where he earned the nickname Odd-jobs Lukas. A lot of his odd jobs revolved around loading and unloading airships, where he eventually took an interest to flying and managed to learn how to pilot one. Things branched off from there and got Lukas to where he is today. Now, Lukas is twenty-four and a Sky Pirate, though depending who is around him, he may introduce himself as a Treasure Hunter or Merchant. APPEARANCE Like most people, Lukas carries himself based off of his life experiences. For him, there's a hint of confidence along with an extremely lax personality. He stands at about five fulm, eleven and a half ilm, close to being six fulm but no cigar, though he is considerably tall for a Midlander male. His body is about 186 ponze, a lean build due to being a runner. He has medium length shaggy black hair and tanned skin. There are various scars over his body thanks to the lifestyle he lives, though there is a large visible scar on his face that he received from an ex lover of his. Lukas has a condition known as non-diabetic reactive hypoglycemia, which means his blood sugar can drop too low and leave him disoriented and nauseous. So he's usually seen with a sundae or any type of sweets. Another thing he's usually seen with is his lucky goggles along with a bomb earring on his left ear, which is coincidentally an actual cherry bomb, though it's about as dangerous as fireworks. PERSONALITY Chaotic-Neutral. Usually very laid back and dismissive. Lukas has a go with the flow attitude for a lot of things he deals with and he's usually pretty good about keeping a cool head. Although there is a side of him that can get reckless, this side rarely comes out unless there's been something that's interrupted his chill or when he's backing up a friend who also may be a bit reckless. L I K E S ■ Gil. Of course, spending gil is a stress reliever for him, along with laying in piles of it. ■ Technology. Despite hating the Imperial army, he can't help but stare in awe at some of their inventions. D I S L I K E S ■ Voidsent. Particularly the creepy looking ones. ■ Coerthas. In particular, anywhere that's cold. H O B B I E S ■ Taking it easy. Laying out in a hammock and not being bothered is his idea of a perfect day. ■ Triple Triad. Lukas will almost always make time for a friendly match. S T R E N G T H S ■ Conviction. One thing that he's carried with him for a long time is to never second guess yourself, even when you're wrong. ■ Agility. Lukas is a runner thanks to his previous lifestyle, he can sprint for long periods of time. W E A K N E S S E S ■ Gambling. It can be addicting, and Lukas loves that thrill. ■ Cleavage. Sometimes telling yourself over and over to not stare makes you end up staring. M O T I V A T I O N S ■ Money. He lives for the money and he'll die for the money. ■ Experience.
