Emeline Redwyne "So you must carry this light into the darkness. You will be a star in the night. You must keep hope alive among the hopeless. That is your purpose in this life."
Like many people in Eorzea, the calamity had a great impact on Emeline. She doesn't discuss the details at length with most people. All anyone knows is that she suffered grief along with the rest of Eorzea. However, Emeline turned this grief around and made a vow that she would do anything in her power to make sure no one else felt the same grief. She left Gridania and went to Limsa Lominsa, finding herself at the door of the Arcanists guild, clutching enough gil to purchase a novices tome. The fledgling Arcanist did well in her studies, finding herself comfortable with arcanima and devouring the books in the library. Even though she was a Wildwood Elezen, the city of Limsa Lominsa suited Emeline and she found herself becoming a citizen of Limsa Lominsa. After a time, the Elezen began to look elsewhere. She felt a pull towards Coerthas and Ishgard, beginning to wonder about the Astromancers and how they used the power of the constellations to help those in need. It didn't take long for Emeline to leave the Arcanist's guild for Ishgard, determined to study with the Astromancers. As a novice Astrologian, Emeline was able to give aide to adventurers and soldiers of Ishgard. She was quite happy to work around the infirmaries and use her knowledge as an herbalist to further treat minor wounds and illnesses. Once the Eorzeans found themselves joining the Ala Mhigan resistance, Emeline left Coerthas with a determination to aide her Ala Mhigan friends take back their home. However, things did not go exactly as planned for the Elezen. Even though aiding the resistances in Doma and Ala Mhigo is new to all of Eorzea, Emeline has found herself at a cross roads, going back to the studies of Arcanima and faerie familiars.
