Kiryll Antiqua was born into poverty, but ended up in the service of a rich Ul'dahn noblewoman. With her death (at the hands of foul play that Kiryll had nothing to do with), he decided to part ways with his life of servitude and took up adventuring.

Name Etimology

Kiryll was derived from looking for fancy ways to dress up the name Carl, but it's also a nod to Kiryl/Clift from Dragon Quest 4. Antiqua was pulled shamelessly from Xenoblade.
