Y'vado was the fourth born child to Y'voro and Y'zeledi and the first born male into the family. When Y'vado was born he was small in comparison to the birth weights of his sisters, his father being the Nunh of the tribe, had great expectations for his son and was not overly concerned at the size of the child as he had already sired three strong, healthy girls. As Y'vado grew, he remained small in size. At the age of two, he was expected to fetch water for the village. A simple task that was carried out by many small children using much smaller buckets, however Y'vado could not even manage to carry a full bucket of water, he could only carry half. As he continued to grow older, he did not seem to grow much bigger and his father began to take note. Y'vado continually failed to complete chores in a timely or efficient manner and did not have the strength to hold many weapons so he failed at combat as well while his sisters grew stronger and bigger than Y'vado and excelled at hunting and combat. This angered Y'voro who lost all compassion for the child and began to tell him that he was the 'prize failure of the Y tribe.' Y'voro also became physically abusive taking the opportunity to beat Y'vado, in private so as not to attract the attention or wrath of his mother.

Y'vado's mood spiralled down and one night as he lay in bed, looking at the stars, tears streaming down his face, his little five year old mind decided it was no longer safe for him at home and it was best for him to leave. As quietly as he could, he gathered a hooded cloak and some bread and left the village heading out into the Sagolii Desert, alone. He could overhear a Lalafell and a Roegadyn talking about how they were going to make a fortune in Ul'dah from all of the slaves they had captured for auction. However, before the carriage could complete it's journey, several Amalj'aa ambushed the carriage which tipped over, splintering part of the ceiling, creating a hole large enough for Y'vado to squeeze through. When he was free of the carriage, he took a moment to take in his surroundings and could see in the distance the city of Ul'dah. Using the chaos as cover, he took off running towards the city.

History

Early Life

Y'vado was born into the Y tribe in the Sagolii Desert. For the most part, like many Sunseeker tribes, they kept to themselves and had little contact with the outside world.

Y'vado was the fourth born child to Y'voro and Y'zeledi and the first born male into the family. When Y'vado was born he was small in comparison to the birth weights of his sisters. His father, being the Nunh of the tribe, had great expectations for his son and was not overly concerned at the size of the child as he had already sired three strong, healthy girls and was sure that his son would also be the same. However, as Y'vado grew, he remained small in size. At the age of two he was expected to fetch water for the village. A simple task that was carried out by many small children using much smaller buckets, however Y'vado could not even manage to carry a full bucket of water, he could only carry half. As he continued to grow older, he did not seem to grow much bigger and his father began to take note. Y'vado continually failed to complete chores in a timely or efficient manner and did not have the strength to hold many weapons making him a failure at combat, the times he could actually manage to hold a weapon long enough to participate, while his sisters grew stronger and bigger than Y'vado and excelled at hunting and combat. This angered Y'voro who lost all compassion for the child and began to tell him that he was the 'prize failure of the Y tribe.' Y'voro also became physically abusive taking the opportunity to beat Y'vado in private, so as not to attract the attention or wrath of his mother. This caused Y'vado to became withdrawn and anxious. When his mother would mention Y'vado's nature to his father it was often brushed aside with his father creating excuses as to why Y'vado was upset or sad.
