Hair & Eyes
Eli most often wears her hair in a half up set of twin buns with bangs that hide her eyes. This is so that those around her cannot fully see how observant she is. Currently though it is pulled up in the style worn by her sister, a half braid, as she is posing as Czarina for the time being. Her eyes, like her sister's, are a deep silver color with doe-like pupils. They shine particularly bright in the sunlight and can turn almost a gunmetal color in darker lighting. Unlike her sister though, Eli's eyes are considerably more hooded.
Physique & Markings
Eli has a small, slender, and lean physique with the faint outline of muscles that suggest lots of training. She walks tall and confidently with a proud demeanor.
Hygiene & Attire
Eli is clean and well maintained. She often bathes after training and applies a perfume that gives her a faint vanilla-like smell. She dresses mostly in simple eastern style clothes such as her yukata. Sometimes she is found wearing her training armor with a red headband to keep the sweat from her eyes as she moves.
Personality
Psychological Profile
On the outside Eli appears immature and sarcastic. She's hot headed, but extremely loyal and confident. She tends to have a smart mouth and doesn't always think before she speaks. Deeper down though Eli is quite vulnerable. She has sever abandonment issues, is highly intelligent and calculating, is constantly observing her surroundings, and is intuitive of other's emotions.
Voice
She speaks with a strong, confident, and overall pleasant voice that has a mediumly high pitched resonance. She can sing, though not as well as her sister and because of her stage fright won't often perform.
Philosophy & Mannerisms
Eli was raised to believe in the Au Ra's Dawn Father god, Azim. She is not as strictly religious as the others in her village, holding a resentment of Azim deep in her heart for letting her sister be his "chosen one" in her family. That doesn't mean that she is without a conscious though. By nature she is fairly kind, though not to the point that her sister is. She believes in standing up for yourself and being the best person one can be. She also believes that knowledge is the greatest power one can posses and is therefore always learning in someway. Her most obvious mannerism is her terrible habit of chewing on her bottom lip when thinking, having been known to draw blood when thinking too hard on something.
Skills
23658598 10212150635895928 6181775004899548833 n.jpg
Combat Skills
Eli is highly skilled with a blade, daggers particularly though she can wield a sword as well. She as great aim and can throw a dagger or a throwing star with high precision. When without a blade she is also well trained in hand-to-hand combat. She is surprisingly strong for her little stature and exceedingly fast which allows her to take and dodge blows much better than people expect. Because of this, her small size gives her an advantage as she is continuously mistaken for being weak and uses it to the best of her advantage when fighting. Eli is currently working on her archery skills, but has only adept abilities for the time being though her aim is still almost as good as it is with a knife.
Non-Combat Skills
Eli has basic white magic knowledge taught to her by her older sister. She is capable of helping some, though not all who come her way in search of healing. She is also intelligent, able to calculate big numbers quickly, read fast, and learn new skills at an alarmingly fast rate compared to others. She also possesses a photographic memory that makes her perfect for drawing maps and layouts of the areas and buildings she passes through.
History
Childhood
Elina grew up in a small village in the mountains of Orthard. It had a close proximity to Doma and therefore saw the occasional merchant caravan come through, but was otherwise fairly isolated. The village was predominately Raen and worshiped the Dawn Father Azim. Eli was raised from birth to worship the Dawn Father who had chosen her older sister for the priestesshood. Eli was forever living in the shadow of her sister. Often times she was forgotten by her parents and others in the village. This led to a pretty isolated lifestyle despite being surrounded by people. Since she went so unnoticed she would often sneak away to watch the warriors practice in the fields. It sparked an interest in martial arts for her. She managed to acquire a set of daggers left behind in the field one evening and began to train herself based on the practices she had observed. It was clear she was adept with blades as she learned very quickly and within only a short time had managed to catch up with the boys her age who had been training their entire lives. Within another year she had out-mastered their abilities and began to train in her own style. She also managed to receive a formal education alongside her sister, a luxury many did not receive in her village. When she was 13 her sister disappeared during her initiation ritual. The only clues of her disappearance was a chemical soaked rag and several sets of footprints whose trail disappeared quickly.
Young Adulthood
After her sister's disappearance, Elina's parents were distraught. Her mother would not leave the window, sitting in a chair all day staring out in hopes that her favorite daughter would return home. Her father began to spend all day in the woods searching for more clues. The kidnapping took a toll on her parents marriage and though they did not divorce, they began to act as if each other did not exist, living under the same home but never speaking unless necessary. This took a huge toll on Eli as, already tired of living in her sister's shadow, she was now seeing the affects of how Rina's disappearance was wrecking her family. Eli was forced to take over duties at home for her mother, meaning her training suffered and she backtracked significantly. This all led to a deep resentment towards her sister whom she blamed for ruining her life.
Recent Adventures
Ten years had passed since Czarina had disappeared and nothing had changed in Eli's life. She was still taking care of the home as her parents ignored her and each other. The villagers, though sympathetic to her family, were not much help. Knowing she couldn't continue to live like this, Eli picked up her blades again and packing a bag, stole away into the night. She was determined to discover what had happened to her sister in hopes of easing her parents' minds and bringing her family back together. She thought, maybe if she could do this, they might finally value her too in the way they always had Rina. Under the cover of nightfall Eli paid passage on a ship to cross the Ruby Sea into Kugane. Setting up under a bridge for the night she slept, awaiting daylight before moving forward with her plans.

Awakening the next morning Eli made her way to the markets to purchase supplies. As she was standing at a food stall looking to buy food, a young boy bumped into her and hurried away. A moment later, as she went to pay for her meal she realized the young boy had swiped her purse. Just as she was turning around she was affronted by a midlander who groped her tail before running off after the boy. Furious Eli took off in chase after them both believing they were working together, drawing her blades as she ran. Once she caught up to the man he was telling the young boy off, her purse now in his possession. As the child scampered off properly scolded, Eli turned her blades to the man and after a semi-heated exchange in which it was revealed he was not working with the child the two agreed to meet for some... "legally acquired" sake off the shores of Shirogane. Eli returned to the markets to purchase her supplies and food, buying extra to feed him. Returning to the docks she met with the man, who introduced himself as Caelius Phi, or just Phi for short.

Phi led her to a grassy spot on a cliff overlooking the sea. Behind a shrine he had hidden a case of special of sake brewed specifically for the Sekiseigumi. He reveal he had stolen it and as a result was currently being wanted by the guards for the crime. This made Eli a bit nervous, but she shrugged it off and the two ate and drank well into the evening. As night set in Eli and Phi were both highly intoxicated. Eli, her more vulnerable side showing, revealed a great majority of her past and her purpose in finding her sister. Phi, entranced by the girl and her story, agreed to aid her. They came up with a plan to return back to Eli's village to retrieve the guestbook from the Ceremony in Rina's room. It had a list of all the people that had attended the event and might provide a clue as to where to start. The only problem being that in Phi's current outlaw status, he could not book safe passage across the Ruby Sea as normal. Instead he suggested they reach out to the East Aldenard Trading Co. and see if an agreement could be made that would ensure them safe and discreet passage back to Yanxia. Shortly after the plan's formation Phi, in his drunken stupor, struck his head on a rock. Eli tended to the wound before they both laid down to sleep off the sake.

In the morning the two set off for Kugane again, arriving at The Ruby Bazaar early. As they hadn't made an appointment it took some time before they could be let in. They met with a lala merchant by the name of Popololo Fifilolo. A nasty man hidden behind a smile. Under Eli's quick thinking the two posed as an engaged couple asking for passage back over the sea so that Phi could get her father's blessing for marriage. The plan went a little askew though when the lala revealed he knew of Phi's run in with the Sekiseigumi and of his status as a wanted individual. At this point Eli lost her temper and a small heated exchange occurred between her and the lala. Almost ruining their chances with her smart tongue, Eli was forced to apologize. The lala, a pervish man, made several comments that upset Phi for her dignity, but Eli ignored them, using her intelligence to appease to the man while also assuming the identity of her sister to keep her own a secret.

The situation rectified, the lala agreed to give them safe passage across the Ruby Sea in exchange that they first travel to Ul'dah to assist one of his associates with a pest infestation in one of their key mining locations, the Copperbell Mines. Should they hold up their end of the bargain and clear the mine of the infestation they would be granted passage on a trading vessel bound for Yanxia. The pair agreed and boarded an airship bound for Ul'dah. It was Eli's first time flying and the entire trip was exciting for her, but not as exciting as landing in a foreign land. Once the two were on solid ground again they agreed to split up, with Phi going to make arrangements with their contact to prepare for the clearing of the mine while Elina explored the city. The young Au ra made her way to the markets, exploring the various wares before eventually entering into the adventure's guild, also known as the Quicksands. As she stood inside, looking around she found herself catching the attention of a man with red hair and a kind smile. He approached her and the two began to talk, eventually sitting down for dinner with each other.

The man introduced himself as Klein and was rather vague about his background at first, eventually revealing that he was a half Garlean who had deserted his military post and was now an outlaw. Eli had already began to wonder and was not surprised when her suspicions were confirmed. She did ease his fears about her judging him his past and divulged information of her own in return. Klein offered his aid in clearing the mines should they need it. Eli let him know that she would talk to Phi about the proposal and get back to him. The two agreed to meet at Black Brush Station's tavern, The Coffer and Coffin, later that evening to talk with Phi. That said Eli left note with the barkeep at the Sands and headed out.

As evening approached Eli made her way out to the tavern, entering and sitting at the bar to wait for Phi and Klein. Phi was the first to show. The two retired to a table to wait for Klein and Phi immediately began to kindly reprimand Eli for being so careless as to travel alone from the city and arrange a meeting with a strange man. Eli eventually lost her temper at being treated like a child and lashed out with a sharp tongue, quickly apologizing afterwards for her outburst. At one point in their conversation Phi shifted and the light reflecting off his spear blinded Eli, causing her to spill her drink as she jerked instinctively. Embarrassed she obtained a rag from the barkeep and dropped to the floor to clean her mess. Phi dropped down to help and after an exchange were emotions were running high Phi leaned in and kissed her.

Eli was overwhelmed with emotions and promptly fled the tavern, leaving a confused Phi on his knees as she did. The evening had turned to night and stars shone in the sky as she fled half way up a hill and fell against a rock to gather her wits. Little did she realize she had opened herself to become easy pray for a Hammer Beak. Looking up when she heard the noise she screamed and barely had time to dodge the creature as it rushed to attack her. Phi, hearing her cry, rushed to protect her, coming between her and the Hammer Beak and taking a blow straight to his chest from the creature. As he fell a gunshot was heard ringing through the night and the creature dropped dead. Rushing to Phi's side, Eli drew upon the aether inside her as she recited a spell from her tome to help heal the bruise on his chest. Her power wasn't strong enough to heal it completely, but she was able to lessen the pain and heal some of the smaller blood vessels that had burst. It took a lot out of her though and she became weak. Once she was done Phi rose to his feet, standing between her and the distant figure on the cliff who had shot the gun. He was not sure if it was friend or foe and until he knew he was bound to protect his friend. When the figure spoke, Eli recognized the voice and soon her, Phi, and Klein were relaxing inside the Tavern again. After some discussion Phi welcomed him cautiously into the group and the three set off for the Copperbell Mines.
