Miscellaneous Information RP Style & Preferences [ Chat Modes ]  I'm equally comfortable with private modes of RP (tells, party, etc.) and open RP in /say. Therefore, if you have any specific preference, just let me know beforehand! However, if you're wanting to /tell RP, please let me know first. Otherwise, all /tells I receive out of the blue are considered to be OOC. [ Walkups ]  Generally speaking, I'm 100% okay with and welcome walk-up RP! However, there are some exceptions, which you can figure out by looking at the status icon next to my name. See the key in the next section for details. [ Family Relationships ]  DETAILS HERE. [ Romantic Relationships ]  I'm not opposed to romantic relationships cropping up in RP, nor am I content with romantic relationships being the sole focus of all of my RPs. I am also not a huge fan of pre-planning romantic relationships and forcing them to happen. Basically, I see it as we RP and if the characters start going that way, I'm cool with seeing where it leads. [ Mature Themes ]  Much like with romantic relationships, I follow the rule of 'If sexual-themed RP comes up in the natural course of the plot, it's fair game'. However, I am generally not up for roleplaying out scenes of an explicit nature and would prefer to Fade-to-Black. However, in terms of other mature / dark themes, such as extreme violence and questionable morality, I'm totally okay with. Just let me know if you have anything drastic planned! [ Combat ]  Admittedly, combat isn't my favorite thing to RP, but again.. If it comes up naturally in the flow of the plot, I'll play it. Combat RP for the sake of combat RP, though, is not my cup of tea. But if combat-oriented RP does come up, I expect us to operate on the expectations of realism and courtesy. Don't auto-hit / godmode / metagame, don't control my character, and basically just don't be a jerk about it!  In-Game Icons & RP Status I use the in-game status icons to denote my current roleplaying status. Here's a guide for what the icons mean, in my case: [ No Icon ]  Open for RP.  I am open to RP, including walk-ups, though I'm not actively IC. Basically, this is my 'catch-all' status where I am open to RP, but I may also occasionally be doing non-RP things (such as watching a livestream, talking to my other character's FC in Mumble, etc.) in the meantime. In this state, I don't make a lot of unaimed posts of what my character is doing unless someone is actively posting at me. You're free to ignore my character or include them in your RP as you wish. Likewise, if I am currently in an RP, this will be my status. Also note that if this is my status and you throw a post at me that goes unanswered, you might want to send a /tell to poke at me! I might have looked away and missed it! Finally, if you see I'm in the Duty Finder, feel free to approach me for RP anyway! I may just be Q'd to pass the time and will probably drop it if RP opportunities arise! [ Looking for Party ]  Actively Searching for RP! I am actively looking for RP if this is my status, and I will likely be ICly active even if no one else is posting at me, posting what my character is doing at any given time. You're more than welcome to approach me ICly or send me a /tell asking about RP! [ Busy ]  Send a Tell First. This is usually what I set my icon to when I'm doing anything OOC / non-RP related, such as dungeons or quests that aren't IC, or when I am AFK. That said, I do not generally accept walk-up RPs when my status is set to 'Busy'. (Heck, I'd probably miss them all anyway if I'm AFK!) However, that isn't to say that I might not be up for RP, period. If you're interested, just send me a /tell and ask! Chances are, when I come back from AFK or finish up what I'm doing, I'd love to RP with you! [ AFK ]  No RP, please!  When I'm not in the mood to RP for whatever reason, or if I'm going to be AFK for a very extended period of time (30min+), I'll set my status to AFK. You're still more than welcome to send me a /tell to ask for RP in the future - I'd love that, actually! - but I'm just not up for RP right that second.
