Widowed Deity... Althyk the Keeper Personality Calm and soothing, the old man has a way to make anyone feel at ease. He more often than not finds the positive in every situation, as to every problem, there is a solution. He’s also of good advice and an excellent ear, or even a shoulder to lean on. He’s someone who cares deeply about others and will often place their well-being above his own. He’s satisfied with little and takes one day at a time, enjoying the small and simplest things in life as a blessing. Truly, he’s someone with a big heart, but he’s not a pushover either. A master monk, he’ll use his skills if needed, to either defend himself or others. Though, obviously, if he can simply use his words to make his point across, he’ll opt for that option first. Physical Though the deep lines on his face and the graying hair at his temples betray his age, the old man still carries himself with vitality and strength. His black eyes are a deep pool of wisdom and his lips often curved into a gentle and warm smile. He keeps his black hair tied, as otherwise they’d fall to his shoulders, and his small beard and moustache always well-trimmed. Even after living in the streets for over a decade, it was never a reason to let his appearance suffer.As for his build, he’s slim and lithe and, though he has lost in muscles over the years, he’s still very much in shape, but can’t sustain heavy physical efforts for long periods of time. He always wears clothes that cover a lot of skin but for the pants that may go to mid calves in length. His attires are modest and simple but in good shape and he seems to favor browns and olive green. At his left hand, he wears on his ring finger a simple band of gold that he never removes. Background A man of letters from Doma, he was married and they both hoped for a family, but she was never able to conceive. Already of frail constitution, she contracted some rare illness and didn’t live pass her 30’s. Sun Hyeon would never find another after her death and instead turned toward martial arts as a way to find balance and peace. He’ll travel a bit and will eventually settle in Kugane after years of wandering Othard. He’ll devote his life to ink painting and writing, taking students to teach them to read and write. He’ll later on start helping the healers at the local hospital in the traditional methods, from changing bandages to stitching a wound. It’s only after traveling to Ul’dah that he’ll find interest in the magical arts but, lacking the funds to even buy a book, he’ll push that aside until his adoptive son had secured a very lucrative job, many years later. Quite aware that, at his age, he’ll never have enough time to become a master, he simply study by pleasure.
