The eldest child and only son of one of the wealthiest banking families in Ul'dah, Shiro, as he is known, grew up around opulence and flamboyance. Whilst to begin with, he was content with his lifestyle and the power he held. He soon, however, learnt of the corruption and the betrayal set forth by his family and so, he fled east, wanting nothing to do with the plots of his family and fearing the burdens and the after effects of his families choices. He found himself in the Ruby Sea, far away from anyone or anything he once knew, before long the weight of his decision to flee dawned on him, no more were the days of excess and gold, he was alone, this fear and sudden weakness caused him to have somewhat of a mental breakdown, his hair turning stark white from stress, because of this, he became known to several locals as "Shiro", he decided to adopt this name as a way to hide any traces of his heritage. Soon this infamy led to him being approached by the confederacy, seeing this as an oppurtunity, Shiro found himself aboard a pirate vessel, on route to the coasts of La Noscea, a perfect Chance for him to return to Eorzea and leave his lonely past behind him. It was while he was on board that he was gifted with his Rapier, which he still carries with him always. He was trained in fencing as a child thanks to his upbringing and proved quite an asset to the crew due this rather... unorthodox style of sword play, however, this was balanced out by incredible bouts of sea sickness. Upon reaching La Noscea he parted ways with the confederate pirates, and whilst not proud of his time in the crew, learnt much, not least of which being that he was not fit to be a seaman. Finding himself in Limsa Lominsa for the first time in his life he was blown away by the alabaster buildings, the fresh air, and stiff ocean breeze, such a vast difference from his home in the dusty lands of Ul'dah. Shiro took up the last name "Zephyr" after the gate through which he first entered Limsa Lominsa, further imprinting his new identity. Whilst still arrogant and proud, the young, naive boy who escaped his corrupt family was gone and a new, determined and intelligent man set out to learn more about the world and achieve his goals... Whatever they might be.
Slender of build, and slightly above average height for a Hyur (around 6'), his most obvious features would be his bright white hair and disarming grin, an air of self-importance surrounds him and he carries himself well, owing to his wealthy upbringing. He has two small scars on his right eyebrow, partially hidden by his hair, which he received during his time on board a confederate pirate ship under what he describes as "mysterious circumstances". His hair and clothes are up-kept to a meticulous standard of vanity and he always makes sure to be as presentable as possible.
