A bit too young to be jaded but too desensitized to be innocent, Gavin is a little ball of conflicted feelings. Though he's made the most of what he's got, the sudden upending of his peaceful life as a fisherman just two years ago still leaves him feeling confused and unsure of himself in the violent, chaotic world he's been thrust into. He's been forced to grow up quite a bit; the new experiences and horrors he's lived through have seen to that. Despite it all, though, he's still somehow able to stay positive, pushing forward with the same die-hard determination that's kept him alive this long.

Gavin is relatively handsome, for a fisherman's boy. If anything, his slight farmer's drawl is rather endearing. He's certainly in shape, though most in this day and age are even moreso, and his lithe, bendable frame makes him quite the dexterous fellow. The last few years have given him some new, noticeable scars: one short and straight across his right arm, and one long and jagged along his right shoulder. His bright blonde hair is one of his more defining attributes, oddly enough, and most of his more common nicknames revolve around it.

Though he has an arrangement of more comfortable clothes, he's usually seen in his tough, leather traveling gear, complete with a mask. On the rare occasion he's both relaxing and doing so at home, he's likely to be seen in short-sleeved shirts and baggy bottoms; shoes are entirely optional. His daggers are straight and plain in design. There's nothing flashy or particularly noteworthy about them.

As a younger man, Gavin was a decidedly anxious and cowardly sort, with a kindness and charm that was often buried beneath the shivering mess he so often behaved like. Now that he's a bit older and experienced more of what life has to give, he's changed a considerable amount. Now, he's a huge conversationalist, he's quite fearless, even foolhardy at times, and that sweet charm of his has come out in full force. He's a bit of a dreamer, and he staunchly believes that good inevitably triumphs over evil.

On the flip side, he can often become quite distant and hopeless, sometimes due to the situations he finds himself in and sometimes entirely at random. Spending too much time on the move can lead to this change in behavior, and it gets worse the longer he's traveling. This frustrates him, as he feels strongly inclined to wander the world. Being alone for long periods of time can also see this more angsty side of him come forth.

On the job, Gavin's attitude changes immensely. Once that mask of his comes on, he becomes a pragmatic businessman. He speaks only when necessary, shows little mercy, and works with a calculated efficiency. It's almost feels like an entirely separate person. He won't admit it, but he enjoys the chaos of combat.
