Hayato advanced rather rapidly in rank with The Maelstrom, Having rose from a private all the way to the rank of Captain. His battles took him far and wide eventually leading to him arriving in The Battle of Ala Mhigo. Upon the discovery of the Garlean's experimentation on The citizens of this land, it is here that Hayato swore to take revenge.
