[edit] Details Personality Relationships Rumors Gallery OOC Notes GENERAL INFORMATION WIP Important details: ■ Kaede has severe amnesia. She can't remember a lot, and what she can is traumatic. Important missing memories are extended to knowledge of an older brother. ■ Notable skills include - Dancing, knowledge of poisons and how to counteract them, fluency in several languages (Although some may require triggering to remember), quick to pick up new skills, prowess in several different forms of magick with a main focus on healing magicks. ■ Kaede had been deliberately kept unable to fight past the use of a dagger and poisons and being quick of feet until after meeting her two favourite companions, who made her realise she should probably learn to fight. As a result, she has taken up learning how to fight with several weapons and takes one stance with no weapons at all, relying on her flexibility and dancing skill to aid her kicks and punches. APPEARANCE A mixture of Gridanian and Doman has led way for some unusual yet stunning features on this young lady. Often fetishised for her looks in the past, she is described as being exceptionally beautiful, her features delicate and only marred by her usual uncaring attitude or scowl - yet even this remains attractive. She often relies on her features to get what she wants - as despite barely knowing what she looks like having glanced in a reflective surface a handful of times since the attempt on her life, she is aware that both men and women can't help but be drawn in by her looks. She is exactly 5 fulms in height, and incredibly slim. Despite her smallness, she has been lucky enough to have an hourglass figure. She has full lips with no discernable cupids bow, a small nose and large, viridian coloured almond shaped eyes, framed with thick lashes, and she often goes without makeup. A beauty mark is located just underneath her left eye. It is probable she takes more after her mother than her father in colouring, but her other features give her Doman side away, including her dark hair. Aspects That Stand Out: ■ Her hair is more often than not, waist-length and left loose, though on rare occasions she will style and decorate it to catch someones eye. If she does, she is normally up to something. ■ She now permanently has a scar on the right side of her face, just beneath her eye - a large and noticeable gouge that she is hoping will fade with time, though she knows it will not. ■ Other rarely seen physical traits include a large jagged scar curving along her hip as a result of the attempt on her life, with a cluster of freckles just beneath it. PERSONALITY Kaede is seemingly rude, stuck up, and at first glance, uninterested in everyone around her unless it suits her. However this is just a protective shell, and once you get to know her, one can find that she's very sweet and loyal to a fault. She is a young woman who will go out of her way to ensure others are not hurt and would do anything for her friends, even if it means sacrificing herself in their place, something she will do without ever breathing a word to anyone. Though she can often come across as snarky to people she doesn't know, she soon warms up and she'll even defend those she dislikes if she believes they're being done wrong by. At her core, all Kaede wants is to be happy and settle down. She has a big heart and carries affection for a lot of people even if she'll never say so, and will vehemently deny it if asked unless one gets to speak to her one on one. It seems the only exceptions to this rule are the two companions who finish her trio. As a result of her years as a companion, one of Kae's worst habits is flirting. She will go out of her way to flirt with anyone if she believes she can get something out of them, whether it's drinks or information. She enjoys making people smile, even if her methods of doing so are questionable, and sees nothing wrong with complimenting anyones looks as long as it makes them happy. She is not above fluttering her eyelashes with anyone to get her own way, and is more than aware of her sexuality and how to use it. This can lead to her being conflicted overall when all she wants to do is shut the world out and hide behind her protective layer. She is also prone to bouts of depression and great sadness, and will reflect this onto others often. L I K E S ■ Romance. Kaede is a sucker for romance in all forms and has been since she was a young girl. She spent her childhood before her parents passed away dreaming of her wedding, and even wanted to become a florist/botanist for that very reason. ■ Sweets. She has an exceptionally large sweet tooth despite not having the opportunity to have many, and if given such an opportunity will eat herself to sickness. ■ Animals. She is a sucker for all things cute, even if they are not deemed as traditionally cute. There has been more than one occasion where someone has demanded she puts a creature of some kind back after joining other adventurers for a dungeon. D I S L I K E S ■ Cruelty. She has been on the end of it many times herself, and as it stands, is not a fan. ■ Ahriman. Seems like they really upset her. It's probably all that wing-flapping and staring. H O B B I E S ■ Experimenting. Give her an alembic and something she can blow up, and she'll probably try her hardest to set her apothecary on fire. ■ Reading. This is something she does quite often - though she cannot write, she loves to read. Rumour has it she has too many romance novellas hidden beneath her bed, including the popular read 'Fifty Shades of Brume'. S T R E N G T H S ■ Resilience. She never gives up, no matter what the situation is, and will continue to fight until her dying breath. ■ Charm. Kaede knows exactly how to make someone smile or feel better, and a good fluttering of her eyelashes only aids that. ■ Loyalty.. Unless you cross her, she will go above and beyond for you. Guine is Kae's resident monster researcher, and works at the apothecary with her - though Kaede never seems to be entirely certain what the Miqo'te is up to. Kaelyn Vhris Friend (♦✔ ) Character's Thoughts: "Kaelyn is one of my closest friends, and a valuable one." Kaelyn and Kaede met shortly after Kae hit on him outside of Quicksand. From that point onwards he's been a stability in her life, sharing secrets with her and vice versa, helping her with the apothecary and a multitude of other things. Though some of their friendship has been questionable, they both seem relatively protective of one another - or atleast, he is of her.
