| − | While Jayce enjoys social settings he finds himself unusually reserved in building meaningful relationships. This guardedness originates from his childhood, which he rarely shares with others, where he finds himself continually losing those he finds important. Incidentally, those who he builds relationships with become extremely important and something he strives to protect.

| − | Many describe Jayce on the battlefield as cold and calculating. He focuses on utilizing his own strengths and those of his companions in a manner that bring about the utmost efficiency. During missions he finds himself utterly cold-blooded and only those close to him are able to snap him out of his blood-lust.

| − | While a snapshot of Jayce on the battlefield would indicate being a ruthless warrior, he’s extremely compassionate. He continually goes out of his way to help those who can’t help themselves. Individuals who are called ‘friend’ by Jayce find that he becomes protective of them. He has found that fighting on the battlefield alone is preferable after a rather terrible experience where he lost focus after a comrade became injured and almost died himself. However, if adventuring with close friends he makes an effort to remain vigilant to keep them and himself out of harm.

To cope with this and tough times in general he likes to play the violin, which he received from his childhood friend Darien, in solitude. When he was 18 he lost both his best friend and adoptive parent when Dalamud fell from the sky. Now 23, Jayce has an irrational fear that he’ll lose something dear when his namesday arrives.
