Basic Info

This Half-Elezen is friendly and open by default, with a good dash of mischief! As her title suggests, she loves to smother and pamper others if given the chance, regardless of her victim's age. Even with her early greying, she tends to be very peppy and playful. She may not look it, but she's also a Hearth Witch, black cat included. Thanks to that, strange things do happen around her from time to time!

Appearance & Personality

Personality:

Mother is very friendly and open to anyone, even to those who are socially unacceptable. Even with her age, she tends to be very spry and playful. Whether it be throwing snowballs at others in Coerthas, to giving away freshly made cookies in Gridania, she'll be sure to give you something to smile about. Just try not to be offended if she tries to fawn over you too much. Mother does have a tendency to treat others as children regardless of their age. Yes, this would include trying to clean your visor with a wetted kerchief!

Her name isn't her true name. Hazelbud is an adopted nickname that she gained years ago, thanks to others finding her silly for talking to plants and wild creatures. She is often called some form of 'Mother' because of her personality and how she treats others. Her age and early greying contributes to that!

Good and evil is something that's in the eyes of the beholder in her opinion. With this kind of thinking, she never judges another, even if they display the most foul of gestures to her. If someone were to target her for pick pocketing, she'd probably yell in their direction, "Spend it well!". If she ever met them again, she'd still give them the same kindness and respect that she gives to others. Of course, she'd have a firmer grasp of her coins in the process!

Appearance:

Being only half Elezen, her ears are quite small and her height is short compared to other Elezen. Her garb is often a simple, sturdy dress that looks perfect for women's manual labor. Hanging from her side is a decorative string of alpaca-silver bells with a lovely tear drop stone of many brown shades. Hand made and not very valuable in price, yet it holds a lot of value to her heart. She often explains that the jingling lets others know where she is, just in case she's needed. The beginnings of later age was just visible by her eyes and mouth, matching perfectly with her greying and her attitude!

More often than not, a little black feline is bouncing along behind her. You'd swear it looked right into your soul with those endlessly round, dark pupils. Too bad it's hard to tell if it is judging you or plotting to attack your ankles like the Carpet Shark it is! It must be her Familiar, right? Upon a closer inspection, anyone could see that the coeurl isn't completely black. The undercoat is actually a tabby orange, something like being genetically 'smoke'. On the face, the tabby orange became a little more prominent, showing the markings of little specks of black spots on its' blue eyed face. They are much like freckles! A simple leather collar hung around its' neck, with an acorn charm that said 'Silvairre' on it.

Her heavy heart calls out to him as every day passes. She named her feline friend after him due to their close resemblance in personality. ♥ Haurchefant Fortemp: Hazel met him through Silvairre. The two boys were very close friends and often visited one another. It was only natural that Hazel eventually saw him as her own, too. Since Silvairre's disappearance, she is often seen tagging along with him. She finds him bazaar and childish at heart, but she wouldn't have him any other way. Her entire world nearly shattered before her eyes when that 'incident' happened. How he still stands is a secret~. ● Sarnei Malaguld: Squire to Haurchefant. She often heard stories of her but never actually met her until after that 'incident'. The two have grown close like daughter and mother, even if Sarnei is still reluctant to call her as such. ● Ornthalas Telperion: Someone she met in a -very- peculiar way! She finds him to be a great sweet heart even though they don't meet often. Lots of hugs and smiles are exchanged when they do manage to bump into each other. ● Jerciex Lanquairt: Had a short meeting with this man through Sarnei. Hazel finds him insufferably stubborn, although she does see a heavy, tired sadness to him. ● Kaosu Naito: Met him a few times through Sarnei. He puts up a very cold, hard shell around himself, although Hazel couldn't help but notice a certain puppy-dog look to his eyes!
