Versailles Cota

Following the group of refugees from Doma to Eorzea, Versailles has made a home for herself in The Goblet. She is mostly on her own, and is quite naive to her surroundings. Before descending to Eorzea, she had a husband ((not named)) who was a half Raen, half Xaela. Her husband decided to stay behind in their land to protect what was left from the Garlean Empire attacking it. Growing up in Doma, Versailles was mainly a housewife to her husband. He never allowed her to spark interest in weaponry, or hunting because he felt it was too dangerous for her; this was the Raen coming out of him. She spent her days working at her local tavern, but one day she got too curious as to what her husband was talking about with the leader of the Kahkol tribe, and took it upon herself to venture out on her own to find that she stumbled upon a Garlean military base that was still inhabited. She was kidnapped and forced to work under the Garlean Empire for 10 months. While being forced to work there, she learned intel about the Garlean Empire, and their mechanics; until one day she was finally set free. Yugiri Mistwalker a leader of a group of refugees from Doma, plucked Versailles up along the way heading to Eorzea. Rumor has it that Garlean spys are looking for certain Raen's in Eorzea, Versailles being on of them. Her eyes, a salmon color topped with black eye-shadow to allow them to stand out more. Her slim frame lacks posture, and she is always holding onto her hips unless her arms are folded when standing; mainly from always leaning on the tables at the taverns she's worked in, the posture has always stuck with her. Black being her favorite color, it is the color you will most likely see here wearing, but sometimes she will go on the bright side. Personality Being in a tranquil atmosphere most of her life, aside from her husband's part time tribe duties, she has lived mostly alone. The tavern's from her land were mostly filled with quiet Raen merchants. Therefore, Versailles is mostly an observer of sort. She likes to listen in on conversations, and be quite nosy. She tries her best to never be rude, but when triggered, the anger will slip out. Coming to Eorzea she has found a new love for ale. She sits around and drinks with the pirates and adventurers in The Quicksand learning new slang terms and curse words. Sometimes she tends to mimic others accents when she is drunk, in a fun cute way; she never means any harm. Since arriving to Eorzea, her first stop was Gridania. She spent a few months there learning about the ways of the land, such as Botany. However, she also came across the Archers guild stationed there. During their practice hours, Versailles would sneak and watch them train. She was always so fascinated with the way the arrows slung from the string of the bow, because of the way her husband used to hunt with a bow; it reminded her of home. However, she has not dared to pick up a bow of her own without proper teaching. She hopes to one day be taught in archery, and hunt like her husband did. Versailles is quite naive towards the way Eorzean's do things. She has come to terms that she would like to adventure more like Xaela's do and experience something dangerous like her husband has; to be able to understand the thrill he did when working with certain Xaela tribes.
