General

Orphaned from birth, Ruby was left in the Immortal Flames company HQ by her mother, who delivered her anonymously. The soldiers who discovered her and kept her hidden from thier superiors, named and raised her. They called her Ruby for her eyes, and the surname Fireborn for being found in the Flames HQ. She wad then raised by the soldiers there until she was discovered by a Lieutenant who wouldnt allow her to be there. She was given to the members of the Pugilists guild, who offered to take her, around her second nameday. They raised her since, and, on her 13th nameday began fully training her as a pugilist.

Ruby continued training until her 18th nameday when she volunteered to fight in Carteneu, on behalf of the Immortal flames.

After being teleported from the battle by Luisoix, she returned to Ul'dah, present day, to resume training as a Pugilist and begin her new adventure.

Appearance

Ruby is slightly below average in height and build, by Miqo'te standards. She has Black hair with the top half tied into loose braids, the bottom half loose with thick bangs on each side, and the left side of her part hanging to the left. She sometimes put in bleach blonde highlights. Her most notable feature, is her large Ruby Red eyes, with her slit pupils. She also has a scar on her right cheek from eye to chin.

Personality

Ruby almost always has a smile on her face. If she isn't, she finds a way to put a smile back on. Even if that means messing with someone just to make her laugh, like tripping someone to make them fall and drop what they're holding. She can be a bit mean but to her its being playful, she doesn't mean any harm by it.

Combat

Preferes anything involving close combat. Be it Fists, blades, or just her bare hands, she loves it all. After some time with her dark partner, she grew a sick bloodlust in battle (thankfully). Being quick, nimble, and unusualy strong for her size, she can do more than hold her own in a head on fight, however she prefers to sneak up on her targets. The feeling and sound of an enemy's neck bone snapping or, her blade tearing into the throat after shes snuck up on him, gives her a certain, almost arousal but definately enjoyment out of it.

Family

No blood relatives known of.

Hamon Holyfist is her foster father, but Ruby recognizes him as her father. When she was younger she called him "Bullyfist" because, she felt when he was rough with her in training, that he was picking on her. She still loved him through the years and still looks up to him and loves him as her father.

Friends

Vanitas Clout. He is her new mentor for combat, her friend in the field and her lover in the night. Ruby met him as a child around her 10th nameday in the streets of Ul'dah. She was curious about this stranger to Eorzea and the strange aura and fame that surounded him. She bagan to look up to him giving her more drive to begin training. After her return to Ul'dah in the later years, she began a search for him alongside her new adventure. Finaly thier paths crossed and she was finaly able to begin getting her questions about him. It started as an apprenticeship under him but slowly evolved into much more. Ruby's loyalty and love for Vanitas knows no end and her only fears when with him is being away from him in a manner that she wont know if he is coming back. He feels the same about her although wants her to worry less when hes away.

Hamon doesnt wholly agree with Vanitas' methods or Ruby's infatuation with him. He does however trust Vanitas and his reputation for taking care of the people he belives are food hearted.
