Appearance & Personality

At 5'3" and one-hundred-and-twenty pounds, Dalli's muscles are not very well-built, leaving her weaker than the usual Seeker when it comes to physical activities. Despite this, her fiery personality and hardheadedness make her quite the Miqo'te to avoid when she's angry. As of late, she's been seen keeping her jet black hair loose, but is known to pull it up into a pony tail from time to time, primarily when out on a mission.

Biography

Childhood

Dalli was born as a tribal Miqo'te, but was bred by a Tia. As a result, the tribe left her in Limsa Lominsa while passing by one day, only to be taken in by a couple who already had a son that is two years older than Dalli. When they brought her home, they discovered she was horribly malnourished, and despite nursing her back to health, it became dreadfully obvious that she would never build any real muscle mass. The majority of her childhood was spent indoors. primarily with her nose crammed into a book, although she was also taught basic sewing and cooking. Her brother spent a lot of time outdoors, practicing fighting with their father. Their father believed it important that her brother knew how to protect both himself and Dalli, and trained with her brother every day. After three years of sitting and staring out the window, watching them train, she insisted her father teach her how to shoot a gun, in case something happened to her brother. Her father gave in, much to her mother's disagreement, saying he would buy her a pistol for her thirteenth birthday and teach her how to shoot.

Teenage

Her thirteenth birthday came, as did the pistol she was promised - a small, intricate white and silver pistol. While she wasn't initially allowed to handle it without her parents being around, Dalli went with her father to Summerford every day, weather permitting, to train properly with him. About the time she was fourteen, her father tested her and was quite please, as she seemed to have picked up on everything he taught her. Her father went back to focusing on her brother's training, although he would take Dalli out on the weekends to practice, insisting it was important that she practice even though she knew everything he had taught her. After her fifteeneth, Dalli began experiencing extreme mood swings - anger was the most common emotion she felt. About four months after her fifteenth birthday, while in a shouting match with her brother, she slammed the side of her fist against the wall. When he started screaming, she noticed the fire engulfing her hand out of the corner of her eye. She was swiftly kicked out of the house, only allowed to have whatever she had on her - primarily the clothes on her back, and a white and silver pistol her father had given her while learning how to shoot. The desire to know more about what had happened to her directed her to the Arcanist's Guild, where she managed to find a book discussing Thaumaturgy and the location of the Thaumaturge's Guild. In need to gil to travel to Ul'dah, she began seeking work wherever she could find it. The few gil she was earning here and there wasn't enough for her to travel, as most of it was spent on food or lodging.

While walking about the Lower Docks a few months later, a Lalafell girl, who seemed rather young, bumped into Dalli by accident. She was bawling, going on about how her sister was missing and she knew something bad had happened her. After calming the child down and receiving a good description of the missing sibling, she set off in the direction the older sister was last known to be heading - Summerford. Knowing the area quite well, Dalli decided to check a semi-unknown path, mostly traveled on for the scenery, when she was ambushed by a bandit... There seems to be some pages removed. Maybe there was something important here?

Dalli returned to Limsa Lominsa with the older sibling, walking back to her house with her. The family ran out to greet her, thanking Dalli immensely while the father dropped a rather heavy sack of gil into her hand. She thanked him and left, making a bee line for the ferry near the Arcanist's Guild. As she boarded the ferry bound for Vesper Bay, she looked back up at Limsa Lominsa for one last time, only to see her brother standing near the gates to the ferry. She disappeared into Thanalan for almost five years while studying Thaumaturgy.

Present

Six years later. having reappeared in Limsa Lominsa, she now leads a group of Mercenaries with her significant other. Dalli does her best to keep her anger under control in an attempt to avoid what happened with her family. She still has her white and silver pistol, but primarily uses a long-range rifle, as she prefers to not be up in people's faces while fighting. While she does daydream from time to time about settling down, she knows with the way her work is, that dream will never happen any time soon, and pushes it to the side. Even after not living on the streets for about a year, she's still more than willing to do whatever she needs to do to survive, and has lodged quite a few bullets into a few choice victims' heads.
