Character
General
Chouwa Morrison is an odd woman. A Highlander with a Doman name who appears far too exhausted to do any of the things she does. If her right arm isn't hanging limp at her side, it's shaking throughout her work.
Despite these setbacks, Chouwa seems to be making herself at home among her new free company. Time will tell if old scars can harm future endeavors.
Appearance
At only 5 fulms and 6 ilms, Chouwa is rather short for a Highlander. Possessing a lithe build, most of her muscle lies in her arms. Her skin is mixed between dark and fair, the two tones blending into something unique.
Chouwa's face and shoulders are covered in freckles. Her eyes are narrow set and surrounded by dark circles, often appearing half shut. Her irises are gold, word is that she inherited the color from her mother. Chouwa's hair is red, cut to the ends of her ears and kept meticulously short. Chouwa has a scar on her right cheek, running from her lips to her ear.
The highlander's right arm often hangs limp at her side. If Chouwa is wearing a sleeveless shirt, it's easy to see why. A cluster of long scars run from her shoulder down to her elbow. Beneath the scars, black and red ink lines can be seen. They seem to be in the shape of a snake, but the scars obscure most of the lines.
Personality
Always with a sarcastic remark or two, Chouwa has a smile on her face no matter the situation. Be she facing guards, trying to chat up women or setting her blades aflame, smirks and jokes are her company.
However, there are moments when her smile feels forced, her jokes sound a little strained. Chouwa bottles up a lot of her rage and sadness, feeling no one wants to see the life of the party upset.
Chouwa is a great actress, capable of playing almost any role her allies may need.
And if they need not to see her ugly side, so be it.
Combat
General
Chouwa Morrison is more likely to try and talk her way out of a fight, attempting to smooth things over. If push comes to shove, Chouwa relies on her daggers often hidden in her clothing. An observant opponent will notice her favoring her left hand, the movements of her right hand slower if not outright sluggish.
Having recently reconnected with her aether, Chouwa has access to fire aspected magic. The highlander primarily channels her magic through her daggers, coating the blades in fire. Focusing hard enough can allow her to apply the trick to the blades of her allies.

History/Timeline
Early Childhood
Chouwa doesn’t remember having a mother. According to Father, she died bringing Chouwa into the world. Father spoke of her often, how lovely she was, how she enjoyed gardening, and how her home called their warriors shinobi.
Thanks to father’s work as a merchant, the Morrison family lived comfortably in Thanalan’s deserts.
The Calamity
That is until Bahamut escaped his prison. As the world itself seemingly burned around her, Chouwa’s father told her to run as fast as she could. She did so, expecting her father behind her.
It wasn’t until she reached The Gates of the Sultana that Chouwa realized her father was nowhere in sight.
Only seventeen summers old, homeless and grieving, the Highlander wandered the city aimlessly, getting into fistfights to ensure food in her belly and to swallow down her pain.
The Syndicate's Bane
It was after one of these fights that a strange Sunseeker came to her with a proposition. In exchange for a home and meals, she’d help him with his business. Chouwa accepted.
The Sunseeker - U'wera Tia - dealt in ‘repossession’. Sneak into private property to find goods with outstanding bills on them, and bring them back to U'wera. It was here Chouwa learned her skills with knives, how to pick locks, hide within shadows, and tell the difference between counterfeit finery and the real thing. By her twentieth summer, Chouwa was at home within a thieving ring.
Lost in Limsa Lominsa
A week before her twenty-second nameday, U'wera presented Chouwa with a set of plain clothes, an ax and a pass to a ship heading to Limsa Lominsa. “Take the clothes and the ax. Make your way to Vesper Bay and get on the boat for Limsa. If anyone asks, you are an adventurer seeking work. I'll send further instructions to you once you get there.” He told her, before leaving.
Chouwa listened to U'wera’s instructions as she always had. Surely he had something in mind for her. Arriving in Limsa Lominsa, Chouwa bade her time. Getting connected with the local rogue's guild, claiming to be a locksmith and flirting with local maidens.
Propositions from Seekers
Almost a moon after arriving, Chouwa received a wanted poster with her face on it from a friend of the Bane. According to him, the Brass Blades had the entire guild in gaols. All...except her. Unable to return to Ul'dah and unable to find a stable job in Limsa, Chouwa almost resorted to common banditry.
Until a Sunseeker - Tai Abudade - offered her a job. Chouwa became the miqo'te's enforcer, tasked with helping Tai out with his various endeavors with his free company, Sutures and Swords.
