Despite her tendency to isolate herself always, this lone wolf is highly curious in nature, seeking always to understand all matters unique and novel about the world. Not entirely as serious and unresponsive as she tends to appear, Arvan is possessed of an open mind that paves the way for a wide margin of tolerance and, on better days, a subtle and rather pleasant sense of humor. She is nonetheless self-effacing, and as such frequently fails to take initiatives where doing so is expected of her. Rumors hold that her everyday reticence belies either poor social ability or plain lack of intelligence she wishes to hide. Illiteracy contributes to Arvan's own assumption that she lacks in both departments - but as things would have it, she proves to be not only obliging, but also possessed of far stronger judgement than most.
Even so, her self-conscience is far more overbearing than she cares to acknowledge, compelling her to shun kinship and close bonds on the sole fear that her 'selfishness' will cause ill to those around her. This misgiving she has is not at all baseless, as Arvan seems to be haunted by a ghost of the past, but she will by no means allow it to hinder her protection of those she cares for.
