Mari hails from The Azim Steppe, born secretly to a Moks couple hidden in the Orben tribe. She spent her youth peacefully learning the ways of both tribes and cultivating a repertoire of skills. In particular she shone to alchemy and speech, realising that a well spoken word could prove more powerful than even the strongest warrior.
Mari had always been enamoured by all things glamorous, that which a nomadic life could not provide, and eventually set her sights beyond the Steppe. She travelled to Kugane and learnt the customs of many cultures in the melting pot of a city. This proved useful to her in her deviousness, using her skills to charm and manipulate where it was useful to her and she soon cultivated a business in subterfuge and the selling of information. She amassed a small fortune, although her tendency towards binge shopping kept her wanting, with which she purchased passage to Eorzea in search of new targets to swindle. In Eorzea Mari set up a small business as an aesthetician with her talent in alchemy.

Appearance & Personality
Mari is of average height with a chubby build, carrying extra weight in her stomach and thighs, and does not give off the impression of danger. She is of average physical strength but makes up for it in resilience, swiftness, and fluid fighting styles. Her hair is well cared for and can often be seen in intricate styles. Her skin is pale and largely unmarred due to her strict beauty routines and avoidance of immediate danger. She has a few small scars, unavoidable in the field of battle and in alchemical work, particularly some burn marks on her arms where gloves failed to protect.
Voice: Mari's voice is smooth, clear, and deeper than one would expect. Some describe her voice as if they "can hear her smirking just from the sound".
Clothing: Mari tends to lean towards elegant and fashionable clothes over practicality which has lead to more than a few spots of trouble. She loves ornate and intricate designs adorned with many jewellery pieces. Most of her outfits are either white or shades of blue.
