Ser Deryck is a stoic and introverted Ishgardian who was born within the walls of Ishgard on the 21st Sun of the 1st Astral Moon under his parents Artifort and Annabelle as the only child until his sister Ayleth was born. Unknown to the family, however, was Artifort's secret occult following as a Heretic. Annabelle discovered the secret but sadly she was murdered and dumped into the Coerthas Highlands. Ayleth managed to escape... but Deryck came home to an uneasy atmosphere and with the convincing of his father he drank what he thought was wine, but as it turned out it was magicked dragon blood that could force them to become Aevis. Deryck fled after his father showed his true side and with a few strings pulled his father acted as an innocent and Deryck became a wanted man in Ishgard. On the brink of death Deryck managed to reach Tailfeather in the Dravanian Forelands and from there his life could make a slow, yet painful incline to recovery. As Deryck grew older it was apparent the past weighed heavily on him and his newfound peers made him feel like an outsider. After many hardships from social pain to mental breaking, Deryck left Tailfeather to find his new home among the scalekin of Anyx Trine... even if they were iffy about his presence at first. Deryck's outlook remained hateful of the world and much of his intentions were selfish and almost narcissistic until he learned of the true history about the Dragonsong War and much of his hate filtered through against Ishgard, Heretics, and the Horde. From there he waged a one man war against all the factions even if at times it was very fruitless to do so not being very experienced and fueled by anger. Deryck's outlook, however, has slowly changed and evolved over time. No longer was everything entirely death and doom and his energies were forwarded to more important matters beyond war. Abilities ■His jumps are amplified by wind currents underfoot. ■ His Blood of the Dragon is green in appearance and super-heated. ■ Near inhuman strength, speed, and endurance when under the Blood of the Dragon. ■ Can withstand extreme temperatures by insulating in cold weather and resisting in hot weather. RP Info Notes ■ Deryck Farore is loosely based on his creator's physical appearance with a few changes. ■ Farore is a name taken from the Goddess of Courage from the Legend of Zelda series. However it has been omitted as his surname due to obvious reasons. ■ Deryck was originally supposed to be a more awkward and comedic character but the personality didn't fit the backstory which was later written into Sol Agrias. ■ Being from the age of seven and then growing up a warrior he somewhat mirrors Link from the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, who was but a boy put through an extensive journey to save the world. ■ Some of Deryck's powers mirror those of Natsu Dragneel's from Fairy Tail when strongly influenced by Blood of the Dragon and driven by fury. ■ Deryck's self-healing mimics that of Wolverine's from X-Men. However it has since been omitted from his abilities. ■ Deryck's Wind Aether abilities are similar to that of the Wind Primal, Garuda. This, however, became a gimmick to fit the name of Farore so may not be used as often or at all.
