'Nite' Dawngale is a lively lad, both well-known and well-loved in his home city of Limsa Lominsa. Brought there as a baby by his mother fleeing the growing turmoil in Ala Mhigo, he considers the city the only home he has ever known. During his fourth summer, his mother mysteriously abandoned him, giving no reason and leaving no clue. His last memory of family was watching her sail away on a vessel into the sunset, not once turning to look back at him. Alone, he struggled on the harsh streets, then ruled by pirates, clawing what existence he could, stealing to fill his belly.
