General

At first glance, Mel appears to be a genuinely mild mannered, well-kept scholar. He seems to have no trouble at maintaining a well-kept and presentable appearance, likely because he rarely ventures out and prefers to stay indoors with his head in his books.

Appearance

Mel is tall for a Midlander, standing a little over six feet. His posture isn't exactly perfect and may make him seem a tad shorter than he actually is. His chin-length, dark blue hair is usually kept parted at the middle to frame his narrow face. His brows are thin, the inner half of which slant downward in order to lend him an overall mischievous or stern expression. His eyes are violet and generally focused on one thing or another, the man forever curious of his surroundings and what makes things operate. Most notably is the long, thin scar that bisects his left eye. Another scar is on his right cheek, though it usually remains hidden by his hair.

His skin is generally rather pale, denoting the fact that he doesn't get out very often. Despite wearing baggy robes or clothing, one can tell that his physique is slender though he doesn't appear to have any notable physical strength. He almost always has a bag or satchel of sorts slung over his shoulder filled with various vials, potions, and a book or two for light reading whenever he's forced out of his home.
