Basics

Name: X'vett Nunh (Pronounced She-vet-th )
Age: 27
Height: 5'8.2"
Appearance: Muscular in frame, though he's not overly bulky as he isn't excessively physically strong. He has long auburn hair that reaches past his shoulders, and light tan skin. He is strongest at his arms, back and shoulders as he works with a bow and arrow most often, though he has been known to dabble in white and black magics.
Freckles cover his face and body, as well as a couple of small scars on his left cheek from a bad run in with a wolf while hunting.
He recently lost his right leg from the mid thigh down due to a run in with a cannibal craving a good steak, and using his trust and friendship against him, he lured Vett into his home and took the cut of meat he wanted. Because of this, Vett is fairly nervous around Roegadyns.
He paid a hefty fine for a blacksmith to fashion him a new leg that was lightweight and functional, as well as easy to hide. He took some time to pretty it up to make himself feel better, figuring that if it was more ascetically pleasing it wouldn't be as depressing. He can still feel his leg there from time to time, and will often scratch and itch or try to move his toes, which brings him near to tears when he is reminded his leg isn't there.
He is hesitant to tell his tribe about this disability of his, because he's afraid a Tia will use it against him to take his place and they won't truly be worthy of the title and responsibility.
Interests: X'vett takes great interest in Archery and song, as well as white magic. He has also become quite the skilled goldsmith, though rarely practises it unless he is making something for a friend.
Personality
Vett is extremely cautious, and incredibly awkward around those outside of his tribe, even those who are close to him he can act this way around. He doesn't quite understand social norms outside of tribe life, so he feels that if he does something wrong that he will put a bad name on those whom choose to live in tribes despite the citystates offering more.
Rarely he'll tell others that he is a Nunh, as he has had many run ins with those who have met the odd few in the city who have less than strict rules and morals that Vett holds. Because of this he has been hesitant to let others know, as the few times he has he has been thought to be a sex addict, and at worst, a rapist. He doesn't want these titles put onto him, so he just doesn't mention it unless he is completely sure that who he is telling will not make those assumptions.
When he makes friends, he often tracks them down via scent and will be a little more affectionate with them. He gets closer physically to those he trusts, and who he knows won't be upset about it or uncomfortable. With those he barely knows or doesn't know at all, he stands far off from them and will not enter their space unless invited in, or, unless they come to him.
Because of his insecurities with how the world seems to view him, he is incredibly careful about consent, and even the slightest bit of unease or negative emotions scares him off of anything.
When he is with those he likes and is comfortable with, he can joke, laugh, and generally relax with them. He still tries to mimic their social norms in an attempt to learn how to act with those in the cities, though he tries to stick to his own so he doesn't lose too much of his habits.
Because he is so unsure about what is okay and what is not, having relationships is difficult for him because he's hesitant to initiate even the slightest bit of affection. this can often lead to hurt feelings, or him coming off as uninterested, even when he is. He's just terrified to be what everyone thinks he is, and compensates by being extremely cautious.
Vett can become aggressive when things that are his, such as family or land claimed by his tribe is threatened. He will not act without reason, and refuses to kill a life that doesn't need taking, but he won't hesitate to defend what is his and what is dear to him.
Overall, he's a big awkward baby and it takes a lot of trust, respect and understanding as well as clear set boundaries for him to really open up and be himself. If you're not blunt with him about what is okay and what isn't, then he will avoid doing anything at all until it's completely clear to him.
He is a completely open book to those he respects, as he thinks that any questions they ask him deserves a completely honest answer.
Tribal info
(my thoughts on it at least, it's everchanging)
Vett's tribe lives East of Camp Drybone and in the Shroud near Gridania. Where a Goobbue rests and nourishes the plantlife is where Vett lives, though he visits in the Shroud to see the rest of his family. Spreading their territory lead to Thanalan, and Vett followed to follow the sun there. It was too rainy in the Shroud for him, though he found Thanalan was no different. Mainly, they hunt the Aldgoat surrounding the area, and less often have to slay the hounds to preserve their own food source.
There are multiple Nunh in Vett's tribe, and it is the tribeswoman's job to choose her Nunh when she wants to mother a child. Vett has six children so far(five girls and one boy), while the others who have been Nunh longer than he has have quite a few more.
He takes special care to make sure his mates are comfortable, and will go out of his way to make her so. He can sometimes be a goof, wrestling with his mate and losing, telling jokes, laughing, and the like. He always feels honoured that he was chosen to father a child, as it is a huge privilege and compliment to him.
Vett stays with the mother throughout pregnancy, and will be present for the birth. Often, he is the one to name the child, though it's not uncommon for the mother to want another name. He usually looks for approval before coming to a final decision.
He doesn't get much time away from the tribe, however, since he has a responsibility to the tribe first and foremost. He gets little day passes, though, near three times a week as do the other Nunhs, to go and do as they please so long as they return before sunset.
X'vett has a massive respect for the land he lives on, as well as those he lives with.
Within the tribe, it's not uncommon for members to knock their foreheads together in a friendly, affectionate manner. It's a respectful, trusting gesture, and means close to "you are part of my heart". Between friends, it's like a hug or greeting, often a simple knock of foreheads.
This becomes more close and affectionate when one prolongs the action by nuzzling, or pressing their foreheads together, especially with their eyes closed as it's a huge sign of respect and trust between one another. This is usually used for scent marking as well.
Vett became Nunh like many others had, he challenged the one before him and came out victorious. he challenged him because he wanted children, badly. He doesn't want his liniage to die out and the only way to continue it without betraying his tribe was to become Nunh himself. He takes his job as a responsibility that it is, and does his best to lead by example and teach those around him. And so, he made it known he was going to challenge X'nato, and a few of the women who he had upset went to Vett's side to support him. X'vett won because he was cunning, not due completely to physical strength. He outwit X'nato and won in a fair fight. He refused to kill him, and instead brought him to surrender. He currently has six children as follows: X’noha Tia (3) X’luka Vett (2) X’korolon Vett (near one year) X’tandhaa Vett (less than a year) X’zentsa Vett (less than a year) X’davzzi Vett (less than a year) The gap between the ages of his first two children as opposed to the three youngest is because Vett was still only just proving he was worthy the title of Nunh. The women were unsure if he would truly give the strongest, healthiest children. Once X’noha grew, he was proven strong, and more women in the tribe (instead of just the one who had supported him becoming Nunh in the first place) began to want children from him since they’d for sure be strong and benefit the tribe as they grew older.

Azeyma The Warden
X'vett holds a very dear place in his heart and entire life to Azeyma. He often feels lost and unprotected when the sun isn't out, and over long periods of bad weather he can easily get really down emotionally.
When the sun is shining, he doesn't like wearing a lot of clothes as he doesn't like blocking Azeyma's warmth. The sunlight is like a little hug from Azeyma herself, and Vett cherishes it. When the sun isn't out, he feels disconnected from her and often worries that the sun just won't come back and Azeyma has left them. He has an understanding that everything revolves around Azeyma and the sun, and it keeps them alive, fed, and healthy.
He gets up every morning to enjoy the sunrise, and will often 'sing the sun to sleep' when nightfall comes. It brings him peace in the time where Azeyma is gone, and he believes that song will bring her right back to them in morning.
Free Company
Vett joined a free company in hopes he would be able to better understand the world around him and in turn, better understand his friends, particularly Iggnasse. He's become friends with quite a few of the members, and even has private chambers at their company house that he never sleeps in. Mostly it's there because he wanted something totally his, where he can relax and do as he pleases.
So far, the Free Company has taught him a lot about the world, and had inspired him to take up magic and play around with it, though he quickly discovered he was quite good at it and continues to learn and practice.
He is still quite confused about the issues going on around him, but he at least knows what's going on now rather than only being concerned with his tribe and new home. He now knows that in order to protect them, he NEEDS to be aware of the world around him and be prepared for anyone or anything invading his home and hurting his family.
Relationships
X'vett is technically allowed to have relationships outside of the tribe, however, he is not allowed to procreate. He has a hard time making relationships outside of the tribe anyway, because most often others don't understand the rules and traditions, or are just not okay with the fact that he will continue to have mates within his tribe (only because he is Nunh, no actual romantic relationships are had so far in the tribe). He usually doesn't get his hopes up, and sticks to trying to simply make friends instead, and if it goes somewhere, then it does. He never actively looks for something more.
He is polyamorous as it is, and wants to have many romantic relationships. They are attractive to him because the whole basis is respect, love, trust, commitment and complete and utter honesty between all parties involved. Everyone consents to what happens between all relationships, and there should be a lot of open communication. He looks forward to this because not only was he raised where it was common to have more than one mate, and sometimes more than one lover, but because he wants something special, and doesn't see it having to be limited to only one person.
Monogamy puzzles him, but he isn't opposed to it. If he found someone who wasn't okay with Vett having someone else enter their relationship, then he would be fine with it. He has a vast respect for others choices, and views them as none of his business to change or manipulate, however, he can bend and shape himself to better fit those he becomes close to without a problem. He will not change who he is, but he is flexible for the right person.
Vett is Panromantic, meaning that he doesn't see sex and gender as a main factor in who he is attracted to. He would call himself simply pansexual, however he prefers to have sexual relationships with others after a romantic bond has been formed (outside of breeding within the tribe, no relationship is had or needed in those instances). This doesn't mean he is apposed to it, however he will rarely have sexual relationships with anyone outside of breeding or romantic relationships. He doesn't want to fall into what so many other Nunh have while they spent their time in the city. He doesn't want to be them.
Friends
He has a very select few friends, as it is hard to really trust others outside of the tribe for him unless he is given good reason. He has many acquaintances that he respects and holds dear, however aren't quite 'friends' yet.
Astro Mortim: He has only recently become close friends with Astro, and is still warming up to her. She holds a place in his heart now, however, as she was the first he had gone to in need to talk over how he felt when he lost his leg. He trusts her fully, and holds a great deal of respect for her.
Iggnasse Arbeau: Vett really didn't like him when they first met, as he came off as intrusive, selfish, and a liar. In time, he has warmed up to him and has become quite fond of him, even building an emotional relationship with him. Recently, after a long while apart they met again at his company's celebration and they got to bond again. Vett is overly cautious even around him, and feels he angers him with how careful he is when they have a more romantic relationship. Well, Vett assumes they have a romantic relationship, it has never been set in stone, but with the way his heart tugs and aches for Masse when he isn't around, he assumes that is an indicator that he is attached to him in more than a friendship sense.
X'kohu Tia: X'kohu is a close member of the tribe to Vett, and he has massive amounts of respect and love for him. He treats him like a younger brother, despite them being around the same age. He tries to guide and protect him when needed, but that isn't often as X'kohu is quite clever. If anyone were to surpass him, X'vett would want it to be Kohu.
S'vett Tia: Even Vett doesn't know why they are such close friends, but they just are. Often when they get together it's a disaster, such as when Astro and Nasse's drinks were drugged and the two didn't know how to help them and made a scene. Overall, Vett teases him quite a bit all in good intentions, and they build a small, but strong bond with each other.
Tyrenna Ulfrang: Vett met her in the Quicksand not too long ago, and despite the vast differences in their lives, they walk the same path in life and hold many of the same values. She quickly became a friend to him, and he holds a lot of respect for her.
B'ren Lyrgh: After finding him accidentally invading his home, Vett tried to set B'ren on fire. Despite the odd circumstances, Vett views him positively, because flattery gets you everywhere. He felt a sense of pride when B'ren mentioned he was a good, proper Nunh, and he wants to continue to set the good example now that he's sure that it really does shine through that he doesn't follow the same path as the others tend to.
