E'numi Fumi (pronounced Eh-Nu-me Fu-me)is Miqo'te courtesan most often found in Ul'dah. Mostly working freelance, E'numi isn't afraid to take partnerships with brokers but never unless asked discloses those partnerships. A very warm individual, E'numi Fumi enjoys her work and life she leads and the independence it provides. Adapting as she did while growing up isolated from any sort of tribalism, E'numi is an optimist, often seeing the better in people despite hostile and confrontational individuals.

General Demeanor

As often the case with the case with courtesan workers, E'numi does not aspire to the dreariness of play the role of a victim. The life she leads she finds herself content more often than not. Enjoying making others happy with a cheerful thing to say or bringing others comfort either with her work or words. She's a nurturing person who enjoys bringing happiness to others. However, with one stereotype befitting to her race, E'numi does not believe in monogamy in the least. Love, being emotional love, is something to share with everyone and not just two people.

With little in the way of love for war, E'numi detests violence. She carries a great deal of respect for those mercenaries and warriors of the Immortal Flames who would defend her city. It's only when violence has no purpose that she'll ever vocalize this opinion.

Albeit a tad invasive, E'numi can be curious at times and often berate people with prodding questions. It can at times come off as rude even when her intentions were otherwise. Not sharing a love for racism or stereotypes, E'numi enjoys meeting all those Eorzea has to offer.

Little in the sense of shame, blunt at times and by nature, she'll always be a bubbly individual to speak with.

Education / Job History

A product of society, E'numi grew up in the slums of Ul'dah and from an early age worked in a tavern the first moment she could. It later became apparent to hers and others that she could do something more than just be pretty face of a bar wench. Reluctance and the voice of caution from her close friends kept her from immediately jumping in to the courtesan lifestyle. Until she meet a man by the name of Ricard Goode. He saw talent in the young girl and offered her a helping hand as guidance in the field, being a courtesan himself. Treating E'numi as his own prodigy they quickly flourished with one another growing not only professionally but in friendship. To this day, E'numi still sees him as the turning point in her life.

Aside from the lewd nature of her professional life, E'numi is a dancer, caretaker, listener and, when the occasion calls for it, home maker. Though, she's not entirely mindless about it with some sense she does read and enjoys adventures but mostly learning of aether and it's uses. Not adapt to call herself a mage but she practices when she can find the books of it.

Combat - Views & Behavior

E'numi will not engage in combat, period, with only the one exception as to when she is forced into it. When this happens she's not polite about it and will immediately resort to dirty tricks. Men an women both are often kicked where they don't want to be. Resorting to assaulting somebodies groin, E'numi will not fight fair and will more likely flee combat than deal with it by calling guard if she can.

Background

Born and raised in Ul'dah outside of any Miqo'te tribe, E'numi's mother, for her own reasons, kept this from her. From a young kitten, E'numi was raised to be self-sufficient and if you didn't like something to fix it yourself. This left her at times at odds with her mother as she believed people who couldn't help themselves wouldn't. However, E'numi believed that all people needed was encouragement. Trying to shield her from the outside world left E'numi more often clueless and wanting of her own culture.

The relationship E'numi shared with her mother immediately changed however. In her early years just before becoming a teen, E'numi's mother was stricken was crippled and no longer able to work, leaving E'numi to become the sole breadwinner of the home. It was then she discovered Merald, a Highlander and owner of the tavern E'numi would later soon call her second home. Merald to E'numi became her second mother over time. Her curiosity about this point for her own culture died down as she started to meet not only her own kind but others. She grew more content with who she was as often hearing the problems of others made hers seems so meager.

Years would pass and what seemed like forever grew into a decade. E'numi's mother never truly recovered as this would leave a strain on the relationship with her daughter. As E'numi became the age of twenty, her mother committed suicide. The only thing she left being the note which spoke of no longer wanting to be a drain on E'numi. She believed E'numi would never aspire to what she wanted so long as she was always taking care of her. Distraught, E'numi turned to Merald who took her in and her second home became her new home in the tavern she worked so long in.

Another year would pass before E'numi meet Ricard Goode, a dark skinned Hyur and traveling courtesan. Though, he was a patron at the time but they quickly grew to be fast friends due to Ricard at times reminding E'numi of her mother. Merald and Ricard never got along, however, and even worse so when Ricard purposed to E'numi that she too take up the lifestyle of a courtesan. To Meralds disdain, E'numi quit within a few moons thereafter. At the time, however, life in the world was very much changing along with the soon oncoming calamity. Merald and E'numi regrettably had not shared words since she made her choice to leave, though Merald never hated her for it.

When the calamity had struck, Meralds tavern was subsequently destroyed. Merald herself moved on as so many others did and moved to Limsa taking on a new occupation. E'numi was never sure of what happened, but she only heard rumor and speculation of Merald's move. As uneventful as the calamity could be, as if that could be a thing, E'numi & Ricard together lived through it. As the reconstruction mounted since then their profession flourished, new money and a shake up in the foundation of the world left many new gil to be made. Most, if not all of the pairs clients ended up being working class, leaving the two leading the life they do today.
