- -Lorelei is born three years into the occupation of Ala Mhigo to parents involved in the resistance. Her mother is taken a few moons after her birth; fate unknown.
- -Lorelei's father works with the resistance; steadily moves up in rank. Earns the title of Armstrong, eventually runs a resistance cell.
- -Lorelei's father is unwilling to allow her to be at all involved with the resistance. He shelters her, refusing to teach her even surface level combat or involve her in any Highlander tradition. The two grow apart.
- -Lorelei is raised in secret primarily by Ala Mhigo's elderly, as anyone younger is typically enslaved or abducted. Grows up learning dozens of old tales and stories.
- -As Lorelei grows up, she begins to experience severe depression as she slowly becomes more and more aware of what exactly is happening to her people.
- -Lorelei grows restless, rebelling against her friends and family and withdraws into herself.
- -The resistance abducts a Garlean airship pilot by the name of Sebastian Grave. They coerce him into smuggling goods for the resistance; he agrees. As he travels back and forth between Ala Mhigo, Sebastian often brings back books and other various knickknacks for Lorelei. Sebastian proves himself a true friend to the resistance when he covers for the Armstrong cell against curious Imperial officers.
- -As Sebastian is accepted properly by the Resistance, he and Lorelei's fondness for each other culminate into a relationship
- -Through a series of events, Lorelei's father is forced to launch a hopeless offensive. Sebastian finds out he is being investigated by the Empire and fails to meet with the resistance to render aid. Lorelei and the resistance assume Sebastian is responsible.
- -Lorelei's father spends the rest of his wealth purchasing passage for Lorelei to be taken to Ul'dah by another smuggler. The Armstrong cell is wiped out shortly after.
- -Lorelei is forcibly taken to Ul'dah, where she is simply left in the streets.
Appearance & Personality
Despite her heritage as a native Ala Mhigan, Lorelei manages to be both scrawny and utterly nonthreatening. Standing at a measly 5’6’’ and weighing a mere 125 ponz, she is easily mistaken for a Midlander. Her dark skin bears light freckling, and her thick, mauve-colored hair is often tied back in a ponytail. Her eyes are a distinct ruby red and her features are soft and delicate. Lorelei's dancer-like physique is free of scrapes and scars and, though far from imposing, her body does enjoy light muscle tone. She typically wears clothing that is both easy to move in and rugged enough to stand up to wear and tear, and almost always carries a ragged sword with her, which bears a chipped point, several knicks, and a broken cross guard.
Although Lorelei fails to live up to the typical Highlander in appearance, she is unmistakably one in behavior. In a word, passion exudes in everything she does: when she is happy, she is blissful; when upset, she is utterly distraught. She very often acts before thinking when particularly bothered, which often leads to reckless action. However, she is a generally cheerful extrovert, if a touch naive. Curiously, Lorelei maintains a light accent unique to Ala Mhigo despite her age. Similar to Welsh or Scottish accents, she tends to briefly roll her 'R's, stretch her vowels, and even speak with a singsong-y flow. She tries to suppress it on most occasions, but it can easily be identified when she is upset, stressed, or otherwise distracted.
