Tahla was the second daughter to Sahn'to and Mahna Nelhah, the clan's Matriarch.

Though born second, Tahla was given express interest and attention by her mother, clearly hinting to favoritism. It earned the ire of her older sister, Tahna, and would spark a flame of loathing in her heart that would persist throughout their lives together. In spite of what animosity Tahna had towards her sister, she feigned just the right amount of love and affection to garner Tahla's trust, and strung the young girl on with the idea she genuinely cared. In reality, Tahla was nothing more than a pawn in the other Keeper's designs to secure her position as the future Matriarch.
