■ Military History. Ever since he was a child, piles of military books and journals littered his shelves. It didn't matter from where the information came from, be it his own people or from Eorzea and Garlemald. ■ Dancing. Extravagant balls and festive gatherings were always part of his young life, and he took to the art of dancing easily. His favourite dance is the Waltz.

■ Vanity. He has seen too many people be worried about their appearance in society that they forget what's under their very noses.
■ Heat. Being used to colder climates, the heat of Thanalan is enough to put him in a very foul mood. He keeps his distance from such areas as best he can, traveling there only to conduct the business he needs to, then quickly departs.

■ Reading. If it has letters on it, and a subject he is interested in, he will most likely sit down next to a fire with a glass of wine in his hand and read. ■ Sketching. Though not something he does for money, if he sees a landscape that catches his attention, or a building that takes his breath away, he will bring out he notebook and pencil to stetch it.

■ Military Knowledge. Reading and being in the Ishgardian army has given him insight into both tactical and practical knowledge. He uses this in his own day to day life, but also those who he helps. ■ Trusting. If he says he is going to do it, he will. A man's word is his bond.

■ Entomophobia. Being locked in his family's cellar for a day, he gained such a fear of insects, it is something he has yet to get over.

Aulvoix's mother was the only one who truly understood what he was like. She never pushed him one way or the other in regards to what he wished to learn and do as a boy.
He gained his love of reading from dancing his mother, but alas, even such a gentle heart cannot escape the clutches of cancer.

Three years Aulvoix's elder, Darris was the one who was being molded to take over the Caiveois line. He enjoyed everything a nobleman would, but a strange disease took his life while he was in his thirties. It is unknown if the disease was poison or something he picked up while on his many worldly excursions.
