Selina Arlette
Selina is a Miqo'te born in Ul'dah to wealthy parents. Her parents had split from their original clan of Keepers of the Moon, which was unusual, and more unusual still is that Selina grew up as an only child. Therefore, as successful immigrants, her parents' expectations always weighed very heavily upon her.
In her 17th year, she left her privileged life to become an adventurer. Her parents had never approved of the life she wanted to lead, so she never uses her surname in order to avoid them in case they ever come searching for her, or send someone after her.
Selina took up archery right away, and had a natural knack for it due to her advanced hunting skills and eyesight.
Selina's first and only friend (so far) out in Gridania is Kodie Durant, who has helped her learn her way around town and has shown her where to go to practice her archery properly.
Selina's favorite pet is her bear, and he provides the only real companionship she needs for now. She hasn't completely written off finding love, but she is far too focused on growing into a strong adventurer by her own accord. It takes her a while to warm up to most people, but once she does she's extremely loyal. Deep down, she hopes that a nice lady will someday enter into her life and join her little family of one. (Or two, counting the bear!)
