Basic Info
Voren is a tribeless Xaela mercenary to put it simply. His connections cover quite a bit of Hydaelyn as he has traveled non-stop for years, though as of late he has settled down more so in Eorzea. His speech reflects a lot of the places he has been, often mixing various patterns on a whim or without ever realizing it. Seeking out a new challenge is always his primary motivation, proving his strength (more so to himself than others).
His weapons of choice are a large gilded gun that he affectionately refers to as Rozalin, and a set of custom daggers that he wields alongside his gun, (when asked about their names he simply replies that they are Rozy's handmaidens). His fighting style varies depending on the situation, making use of even his tail (wielding a handmaiden) or simply opting for a three dagger style when Rozalin is not a practical solution.
History
CHILDHOOD
In another life as a nameless boy, he was part of the Tumet tribe. Not much is remembered about who he was in the tribe, all he remembers was that was his first taste of betrayal. During his ritual of his tenth summer, a small group of rivals in the clan separated from the others during the test. He was beaten badly and made escape nearly impossible, but after several grueling hours he freed himself from his bonds only to pass out from fatigue. Upon awaking, he quickly realized three things. He was alone, he was injured, and he had no idea where the others had gone. There was no hope in his eyes, so instead something else fueled his survival instincts. Rage. After tending to his wounds as best he could, he set out to keep himself alive.
After a year of living in the wilds alone, something changed for the wild hunter. He was given unconditional kindness from a stranger. At first he was merely taking advantage of the elderly hyur man, but over time they developed a sense of trust. The old man even took the time to teach him how to speak what he would later find out was Eorzean, without complaint nor expectation of the boy. Over time, their interactions lead to him choosing his own name since he was denied even that with his failure to reunite with his tribe. Voren Mox. This would be what those around him would know him as. Over the next four years, the old man became like a father to Voren, which made his passing even harder on the boy. Left alone again, a new feeling spurred him to continue forward, becoming stronger. If he became stronger, he could hold on to the things closest to him...
ADOLESCENCE
Personality
Voren gives an air of over confidence whenever he possibly can. If it's a test of strength, a mission, or a bounty, he treats it as being easy until he is forced to get serious. This has landed him in a few situations that have ended less than in his favor. When actually serious in battle, his personality shifts to a battle frenzy, becoming more focused and deadly as the adrenaline takes over. This feeling leads him to continiously keep himself challenged, taking on multiple jobs or joining in pointless battles simply for the thrill. When not in combat, his personality is abrasive to some due to his bit of arrogance. When dealing with authority figures he tends to be more humble, and polite. With those he considers as strong as he is, he treats them as rivals, looking forward to keeping the upperhand on them. For friends, although he keeps very few, he treats with kindness, often finding himself speaking much like the old man he was so fond of.
