Biography

Childhood

A fifth son born to a matriarch without successor, who was never again to conceive, the Anunnaki had found themselves at a crossroads. Had Menphena removed her love from them, that no daughter had been born for succession? Anu'ra grew in the midst of the clans decline. Rumors spread of the Anunnaki's misfortune, ebbing the desire for trade and kinship from other neighboring tribes. Perhaps because his birth seemed to herald this, Anu'ra would never receive much of his mothers affection.
Neither embraced nor rejected by the tribes majority, Anu'ra was left to his own amusements, always hopeful that the next morn might bring a visit from one of his nomadic brothers. Each of the eldest three would share with Anu'ra their knowledge, and he devoured the attention. Anu'to guided his hand in gathering, tracking, and living off the land. Anu'li taught how to craft weapons and build shelter, but from Anu'a he learned how to wield the lance, and these visits were secretly his favorite.

Early History

With little care given to his activities, Anu'ra found himself free to explore the vast forests of the Twelves-wood. Observing the people of Gridania became a favored pastime, and it was during one of these curious surveys that he became captivated by a young Elezen archer. Initially brief interactions became planned excursions, and even after an ugly skirmish (which resulted in the loss of the Elezens keen sight) the pair remained fixed in each-others lives.
