Bright Arrow is a tall, somewhat imposing figure. He is very physically fit and headstrong, and likes to think of himself as a tactical planner, though his plans are generally subpar. To start off, Bright's parents were unable to support him as a child due to being somewhat poor, and instead used what was left of their fortune to sail to Eorzea. Being left to fend for himself, he was forced to succumb to unpleasant methods of staying alive, such as robbing bakeries when no one would feed him, and robbing people on the street to have good clothes to wear. Because of this, he would frequently clash with the local guard. At the age of 23, this taught him to learn to protect himself more effectively, employing a master blacksmith to make him armor with the last bit of money that he had. His weapon of choice was the axe, since those were readily available in all of the places he would travel too. Eventually, he realized he needed a steady source of lawful income, as we was feeling extremely guilty of all the crimes he had committed. This thought came at a great time, as an opportunity to work as a bodyguard for a trading company soon arose, and called for strong and physically fit men. The company was going to hold a contest to pick the people they wished to recruit, and besides Bright, multiple Roegadyn traders showed up as well. They competed for a while, until bandits attacked the ceremony. The Roegadyn and Bright successfully fended off the attackers however, and praised each other on their strengths. The company decided to hire all of them, and immediately sent them out on a trip on a ship to Eorzea. Their cargo was attacked multiple times on the way by pirates, but they all slinked back when faced with the formidable bodyguard force they encountered. Bright became good friends with all of the other bodyguards after 7 years, and they happily would take trips across Doma and the oceans to protect various precious cargoes. However, on one of Brights escort missions, at the age of 34, was attacked by a colossal scaled beast. The only thing Bright remembered of that day was that the creature was huge, scaled, and the fact that he hit it at hard as he possibly could, straining his limits to do so, just too protect his friends. Alas, he fell into a fatigued slumber immediately after, and when he had awoken, he felt a deep pain coming from his eye. His right eye had been completely slashed, and deep scars ran right underneath it. He also noticed that everyone except him were dead. Ice was spread all over the carts and wagons, as well as frozen blood everywhere. Following this, Bright fell into a deep and crushing despair. This was accentuated by the fact that he found a single, ice cold scale at the scene, where he remembered attacking the creature. He went back to Doma and laid low for a while, spending the rest of his money on just enough food to survive. At the age of 36, Bright decided that it was time to move on. He took the next ship to Eorzea, but almost immediately after arriving, the Calamity struck, devastating Eorzea. Despite all of this, Bright only felt encouraged to move on, believing that life was simply trying its hardest to strike him down, but he would not submit. At the age of 42, with his citizenship in Limsa secured, Bright saw a new job listing for a trade company named Knights of the Abyss, seeking mercenaries, traders, and most importantly, bodyguards.
