History

Pre-Eorzea

Coming from O'karthel, Caex'ra was raised by a dominantly Combat-centric culture. Survival of the fittest, their culture focused on having the best fighters and had a high mortality rate. The Vaeriar family followed a ritual of sending their family out to learn individual styles from the world at large. From Coerthas to Ala Mihgo, didn't matter where they learned it from - only that they brought the style back home.

O'karthel itself would, however, not remain a bastion forever. It would fall in time to Garlean occupation - with the family being wiped out. Fighting against Garlemald, even with their skills at arms, only showed foolish pride in oneself - they were actually easy to conquer save their resistance.

Caex'ra would spend time as a Nomad after, where he would meet up with Relexano Delmandi, his mentor and combat-partner in a number of missions on Garlean-controlled fortresses. The man helped instill an even stronger sense of combat and a thrill of battle into the young Miqo'te.

Post-Eorzea

R'Zhumii Suhzu: Caex'ra's first love and romanitc partner, he met her outside of Camp Drybone, at a nearby lake. The two had a fondness for combat in one another - often going far further than most would consider 'reasonagble' in their spars with one another, leaving themselves maimed and tattered a number of times in the name of 'fun.' Yet even through that, they grew fond of one another. Eventually, they would break off their relationship after certain events unfolded that left R'zhumii changed.

Morbolvines Clan: This period of his life instilled within him a sort of peaceful devotion to the protection of his kin. Caex'ra grew to wish to be a protector, but Clan politics and the leaders soon wound up driving apart their own family, and the CLAN fell apart. Ultimately, when the CLAN disbanded and Kiht moved the Shroudwolves to their own home, Caex was not invited - whether by accident or by intent.

Personal Home and Sehn: Caex soon found himself wandering. He settled down within a home in time to better accomodate his lover at the time, Sehn Garanjy, who had a child. Choosing to have a place where he could invite his kin to help fuel his desire to protect his kin and family. He eventually met U'xi Kresh, and invited her to join him within his home - as well as her mate. The home grew to be too full, and soon they'd moved into an even larger home in short order.

Current-Day

Morbol Clan Second Chance: Caex met the Morbolvines by chance, walking through the shroud one day and meeting a group of female huntresses. His usual habit flared, and he challenged them to a fight. Things escalated when he found out they were of the Morbolvines - and it became a fight about history and honor instead of a fight for casual fun. The morbolvines came out ahead, but the resulting effects - Guided by Qhusi, is that Caex now has been drawn close to them and seeks to re-join the Clans' group, though as an Eftmaw instead of as a Vine.

Clan Shadi'ra: Around the time of having met the new Morbolvines, Caex'ra met a member of another clan. Parvaneh Shadi'ra, leader and matriarch to Shadi'ra. He avoided her traps in the shroud, eventually coming to fight alongside her. Another defeat lead to the two requiring to escape together, and time has drawn him close to the Matriarch. While he has no interested in joining Clan Shadi'ra, he has a strong affection towards their family - and a lot of respect.

Scars

The Body Caex'ra maintains heavy scarring all over his body. It is not an unfamiliarity to him - and any that know him, know that the majority of the scars come about from his constant strive for combat. Whether the wounds are from animals or human blade and magic, they are a tapestry upon the skin that tells far more stories about the Male than any other word he could utter.

Recent There is a very evident set of punctures on his neck, suggesting a bite. Further, on his stomache, there is a dusky scar that seems like deep claw marks were ripping out for his innards. It's clearly discolored from the rest of the scars across his body.

♥Parvaneh Shadi'ra Caex'ra's current mate, and Matriarch to Clan Shadi'ra. He met her while traveling the shroud in search of offerings to the Priestess of the Eftmaw, and narrowly evaded her traps. The two have bonded over time through adversity and exposure, finding a large connection there that neither hesitate to savor in.

♦Ireth'sae Shadi'ra Brother of Parvaneh, Ireth'sae is an imposing figure that dwarfs most other Miqo'te. There's an interest in fighting the man for Caex'ra, however aside from that, he enjoys the traditional Miqo'te's presence.

QhusiA woman with whome Caex'ra owes much to. She seems wiser than him - despite her age being less than his own. She constantly seems to seek a better life for him, despite him having never sought one for himself -and even went so far as to bring him to the Eftmaw, of who he now seeks to join. She has a ton of respect from Caex'ra, and other feelings that he is not sure are shared between the two anymore.

♥Relexano Delmandi Caex'ra Vaeriar's Mentor, known from an early age. The man is a beast in combat, and helped to instill into Caex the same values of his family. Were it not for him? Caex might have taken a different turn in life after losing his kin. Instead, he found himself with a powerful Hyur as a mentor and friend, who he constantly strives to sharpen himself against.

?Arylisse Dayhelm One of caex'ra's previous lovers, he was extremely close to the woman that owns the Casina. However, due to affairs of her past-mate, she chose to break the connection the two shared off. Caex'ra lost contact with her, and he has not had the chance to see her yet. There are times he worries and thinks of her, but having not been contacted by her properly - he can only assume she is handling her things.

★Silvi Loqui A doman whome Caex'ra refers to affectionately as 'lizard' and good acquaintance of Caex'ra, the woman now runs a Poison's shop out of Ul'dah. Caex'ra has a slight reliance on her for matters of subterfuge and stealth. She's made him poisons before, as well as fought him by poisoning him one-on-one before.
