''"Our procession was halfway between Falcon's Nest and The Convictory when the accursed heretic vermin ambushed us, the primitivity of their weapons outdone only by the primitivity of their ideas. The bishop and his guards were prepared, and we all fought like tigers against the relentless numbers of the hated foe. Yet, they were an unending tide, about to break and swallow us. When all seemed lost, a brief glimmer rose on the horizon, and by the Fury, what a welcome sight it was. A single dragoon dived down on the heretics with a spiked halberd and slashed the heads off of a trio in the first second. Her armour was metallic black, with a battle-skirt and a long tabard involved, which kept thrashing almost as wildly as the howling wounded of the enemy. Soon enough, a stray spell flung her visored helm off, which the knight underneath took with a silent scowl, revealing a porcelain face of sharp and noble features and steel-blue eyes of ruthless determination. Yet, even in the heat of battle, when beset by a dozen foes, there was a cold and stoic calm on the dragoon, one that doubtlessly put more fear into the hearts of the wretched dogs than any war cry could have. Her tall and lithe form bolted across the battlefield with deceptive speed and precise strikes, and before we could blink twice, the battle was already over, the last accord being the sickening crunch of a heretic throat crushed underneath her boot."

==Brief History==
 +
Cecile was born to two loving parents as the youngest of three children. Her brother is the eldest, followed by her sister. Where the Lancret family was once a prosperous minor house among Ishgard's nobility, the passing of the house's figurehead, her grandfather, left them all but vulnerable to the ploys of a rival house. With the Dragonsong War yet raging on, the time was as ripe as ever. Through underhanded machinations which Cecile yet ignores to this day, the Lancret family was effectively stripped of its fortune six years prior to Cecile's birth. Lowered to a humble middle-class status. Barely. The family nevertheless carried on, striking a hard yet honest living for themselves despite the turmoil of the war.

It had been five and a half years since, when her mother joyfully embraced her father and announced she were once more with child. A child they would name Cecile. Years went by and her childhood fell in the relative norm for a young soul growing up in Ishgard. Fright, and tears. A lot of them. Never quite knowing when the Dravanian horde would next come to haunt Ishgard's people, with each raid more ruthless, and costly, than the last. Cecile yet quickly realized she would not be of much assistance in repelling the dreaded dragons. Instead, as her mother had advised her, she had begun to frequent Saint Reymanaud's Cathedral in her adolescence. Where men and women of the cloth provided medical and spiritual relief for distraught and injured citizens.

It was there, in the following years, that Cecile had found her vocation in life, learning how to write and read, as well as the grateful smiles and joyful tears of individuals who's injuries she treated were her own little beacon of hope amidst the chaos of the thousand years' war betwixt man and dragon. Whilst Cecile showed much interest in the Halonic faith, and still practices it to this day, her true passion yet lies in the art of aetherial healing. Budding with many a scholar as a result, she often found herself with her head between a book. And still does when time in her travels permit.

No matter how much she studied, however, Cecile would ultimately come to the realization -- after much advice from her fellow peers -- that she needed much more field practice if she ever wished to hone her mending skills further. Even more so when the war came to an unexpected halt, and a delicate peace once more reigned in Ishgard. It was a few months later that, as fate would have it, she stumbled upon one of the many fliers promoting the warband of the renowned knight and veteran of the Dragonsong War; Nyx Ambrose. And what he had dubbed his Vermillion Outriders. It took several weeks for Cecile to make her mind up, but eventually, she set out into the world to enlist with them with the blessing of the Church. She yet remains very much so anxious about the whole ordeal, but nevertheless determined.

Standing at five fulms and six ilms, Cecile is not quite the shortest comparatively to her Midlander peers. She yet remains far from lanky, however. She considers it a handy alternative and a reliable safety net when she finds herself unable to use a much more potent staff for the same purpose. On the opposite side of her face, she bears a narrow cut upon her left brow. The scarring indicating it to be relatively old, a childhood injury perhaps.

No matter what she wears, she seems to always be carrying a few simplistic leather pouches and pockets upon her person. In which essential medical supplies are stored, as well as a handful of gil, and a yet functional compass that appears to have seen better days, with its frame thoroughly cracked. An object which seemingly carries sentimental value for Cecile, as anyone else would likely discard the weathered item.

Brief History

Cecile was born to two loving parents as the youngest of three children. Her brother is the eldest, followed by her sister. Where the Lancret family was once a prosperous minor house among Ishgard's nobility, the passing of the house's figurehead, her grandfather, left them all but vulnerable to the ploys of a rival house. OOC

I am a multi-paragraph roleplayer, but I adapt and mirror to my partner's style if requested. I do not expect those who roleplay with me to match my emote length or speed at all when doing smaller scenes, and likewise do not actively spam the chatbox with long emotes at public events. I will always prefer to do longer style emotes, but this is not a requirement.

Walk-up roleplay makes me nervous until I have gained confidence in a community I have not actively been a part of for some time. I prefer to set up scenes in advance, however this does not mean I want to script them—simply to plan to set aside some time to roleplay with someone prior to the scene.

Although I am not adverse to light scenes and slice of life roleplay, I prefer character building and plots fantastical in nature. Long-term stories are my bread and butter. As long as IC and OOC boundaries are understood, I am not adverse to erotic and relationship roleplay. Organic roleplay is what I value the most, so I will not force my character to do anything in a plot, no matter what.

I REFUSE to participate in any indecent RP scenes with players that are under the age of 18 regardless of character age. (But especially if the character is a minor as well.) Extensively, I refuse to participate in any active RP scene involving indecency to a child.

I enjoy mature themes and am OKAY with writing about most disturbing NSFW scenes. These include but are not limited to the following: violence, horror, gore, drug abuse, language, nudity, sex, sexual violence, physical and mental abuse, manipulation, psychological, torture, rape, abduction, human trafficking, etc.
