Chani grew up as a typical Lominsan youth: playing pirates, pulling pranks on tourists, pissing off the deckhands... She was happy (even with three older brothers tormenting her mercilessly.) Unfortunately her mother caught a cold, and it developed, and one can see where this leads to. Except before her passing, their was hope. An expensive one. The family's father (a failing merchant) said ''"'Ey!"''... and turned to gambling. If he could just get that jackpot! Needles to say, he racked up some serious monetary debts (the drinking didn't help). And when the hope faded and the family should've moved on... well, he approached a pirate gang for financial assistance. Except after a while the benefactors suspected the father was attempting to weasel out of his servitude, and so the Knights of Barracuda were anonymously tipped off on a "major pirate den" at Chani's residence. Acting on this information, the Knights ransacked the place, setting it ablaze and arresting the three brothers. Luckily (or not so?), Chani's escape was masked by the ensuing takedown of her brothers. As for the fate of her father... well, none of it she's very sure on. And as there's nothing she's been able to do (or find) in the ten years since, Chani has drifted on with her life.
[http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/Cima Cima] [http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/Fay Fhae] - translation: ''treasure'', ''faith''. Fae may also refer to ''[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairy faeries]''. The 'h' is silent unless pronounced in Miqo'te tongue. Resembles the Roegadyn word "Frae," meaning ''free''. Also associated with ''fray'': the unraveling of fabric - Nymeia, the Spinner.

She prefers to be called "Fae."

=====<div style="padding:0px 30px; font-size:14px;color:#466b69;">Appearance</div>=====
+
A loudmouth and tomfool, Chani is knowledge-starved and thrill-seeking. Trouble's her name and danger's her game. She acts out of her best interests and isn't above pushing someone under the choco-coach if it means another day of life in her lungs. I advise you to watch your pockets around this one: what's yours is hers, and what's hers is hers. And expect the unexpected. Or maybe she's predictably unpredictable. Good luck!
A slight sprite of a creature with delicate features, Cima is... a ''wisp of smoke''. Shaped-svelte and bony-limbed, she possesses a wiry strength; a figure that - in design - seems graceful... but in actuality, luckless and gawky.

Cima's hair is a mint green with aqua highlights, fashioned in pig-tails and parted just off-center. Her eyes, red and winged by kohl, are often caught in a dreamy trance. A noticeable scar tapers over her left eye, a result of clumsiness and ill-timing on her part. Her skin, blemished here and there by other noteworthy injuries (specifically a seared-scar the length of her back), is the typical Keeper complexion and as such, burns easily in sunlight.

Around her neck dangles a bell-pendant - tinkling like wind-chimes with the subtlest of movements. Cima also commits to the time-honoured tribal paint of her people, accentuating the outer-corners of her face with blue-purple crescent moons for Menphina's boon.

=====<div style="padding:0px 30px; font-size:14px;color:#466b69;">Personality</div>=====

Under construction. Cima Fhae is one tough cookie, even if she doesn't look it. A formidable will resides beneath her shy exterior; determination that often lands in her a spot of trouble (neglects to look both ways before crossing the street sort of deal). On the subject of trouble, Cima seems to have innate ability to attract misfortune... and misery follows her like a lost puppy. If it wasn't for her resolution she'd be a hopeless cause, which makes her stubbornness more of a blessing, really. She fakes optimism well.

She has an affinity for living things, be it plants, animals or beings. It isn't a skill she abuses, however: where she could manipulate, she encourages, and where she could abuse, she heals. As taught, she is a distant lover. A reserved observer, Cima knows more than most would like her to - but don't worry, your secret's safe with her. Besides, she's too caught up in her own head most of the time to put her creativity to an admirable/terrible use. She fears abandonment and utter loneliness, though can rely solely on her own company as long as the support exists. Combat instils her with flight-anxiety, but if she loves it she'll fight for it. Her capacity for magic is most potent when she seeks to protect and preserve.

With unusual maturity and sophistication for her age, Cima behaves like more of a lady than a girl. That isn't to say she's soft or eloquent - a casual feminine, with girlish and boyish quirks all round. A kitty-cat that plays by her own rules. To people, she's quietly polite unless trifled with. Fanciful and (more than?) a tad strange the more you get to know her.

She is also a devout of the Twelve, highly spiritual and superstitious. Considers herself sensitive to the supernatural realm.

Cima pours her lonely little heart out.

Fhae is a pawnbroker at ''Finders, Keepers'' on Emerald Avenue, Ul'dah. They receive their fortuitous stock (for various reasons) from all corners of Eorzea. If your character requires something unusual, be it an antique or product of the black market - please give me a ring! It'd be fun to make some connections this way. Wilfie sends Fhae out to do all sorts of odd jobs - be it errand-running, pick-ups and drop-offs, and hunting for treasures of their own. If you have a courier, merchant, smuggler, treasure hunter, thief, etc that counts as a potential connection as well!

Also, obviously, no reaaal gil is required for this role-play idea, I just wanna have an excuse to mingle with all sorts of character breeds (and have fun doing it!). The price would be pretend-gil or shinies of some-sort or another. Fhae and Wilfie collect rabbit trinkets.

I'm not sure what my schedule will be like at the time of release, but I hope to be able to invest a good chunk of my time into gaming and such.</tr></table>

Chani Drift is a simple stray with an unhealthy obsession love of three things: games, money and booze. Career-wise, she considers herself a specialist in the procurement and trade of goods. You want it, she can find it. At a price.

"Is it a needful thing?"

Basic Info

Stray Cat Strut

She's a small, shapely thing - a once gawky foundation turned to womanform. Or turning, judging by the chub of her cheeks and occasional stumbles, fumbles and tumbles (she's a ditsy helmsman). Her voice is bubbly and boisterous (inside voice? what inside voice?) and her tongue as foul as a sailor's. A tad of fire touches her blonde hair and her eyes are the sky and the sea. Beyond that, no real noteworthy brands. She's got a dim-witted smile though.

History

All Along the Watchtower

Chani grew up as a typical Lominsan youth: playing pirates, pulling pranks on tourists, pissing off the deckhands... She was happy (even with three older brothers tormenting her mercilessly.) Unfortunately her mother caught a cold, and it developed, and one can see where this leads to. Except before her passing, their was hope. An expensive one. The family's father (a failing merchant) said "'Ey!"... and turned to gambling.

Personality

Born to be Wild

A loudmouth and tomfool, Chani is knowledge-starved and thrill-seeking. Trouble's her name and danger's her game. She acts out of her best interests and isn't above pushing someone under the choco-coach if it means another day of life in her lungs. I advise you to watch your pockets around this one: what's yours is hers, and what's hers is hers. And expect the unexpected. Or maybe she's predictably unpredictable. Good luck!
