Chani Fhae
Cima Fhae [see-ma • f/r/-ay] is a... well, that is... Cima specializes in the procurement and trade of unusual goods. Simply put: you want it, she can find it. At a price. "Is it a needful thing?"

Character
Etymology
Cima Fhae - translation: treasure, faith. Fae may also refer to faeries. The 'h' is silent unless pronounced in Miqo'te tongue. Resembles the Roegadyn word "Frae" which prompted the Styr-siblings' pet-name "Fraestyr": free star. Her name may also be associated with fray (the unraveling or wearing of fabric) in regards to the intentions of the Spinner.
She prefers to be called "Fae."
Appearance
- Height: 4 fulms 8 ilms / Weight: Approx 90 ponz
A slight sprite of a creature with wiry tone, Cima is built small but strong [akin to: Talim]. She has eyes likes rubies and pine green hair, kept short for the desert's unyielding heat. A noticeable scar tapers over her left eye, a result of clumsiness and ill-timing on her part. Her skin, blemished here and there by other noteworthy injuries, is the typical Keeper complexion and as such, burns easily in sunlight.
Around her neck dangles a bell-pendant - tinkling like wind-chimes with the subtlest of movements. Cima also commits to the time-honoured tribal paint of her people, accentuating the outer-corners of her face with blue-purple crescent moons for Menphina's boon.
Personality
To be adjusted.

Story
Overview
Under construction. - ■ Born in the Eastern Shroud to the Fhae family - shamans regarded for their mystery, cunning and eerie intuition. Clan totem: [red-eyed] frog.
- ■ Raised harmoniously with the forest and its spirits; affinity for nature, as expected for a Fhae. However: lack of consideration/concentration and nosy nature makes her the "problem-child" of her family. Strives for positive recognition.
- ■ Occasionally visits Gridania and hamlets as they wander the Twelveswood - selling/exchanging herbs (medicines, spices; incense), their "gift of divine insight" (fortune-telling, channeling spirits), etc.
- ■ A fateful night by campfire: their (proud) perception neglects to caution them of a nearby Ixali troop. Slaughtered or separated but all lost, Cima Fhae (eight cycles at this point) is a lone survivor.
- ■ While slinking through the Twelveswood a half-cycle later, Cima is drawn into the throng of trees by a familiar song. She stumbles upon a campsite, unknowingly discovering the wandering crusader (and ex-gladiator), Fohcs, fast asleep. Foolishly drinks from a pot of mushroom-tea and finds herself [down The Rabbit Hole]. Fohcs rescues Cima from the self-induced nightmare and shows her the "silver lining." Cima pours her lonely little heart out.
- ■ The two decide to stick together (along with his young coeurl, Klyn-Koena) and lead a life of unceasing exploration. Fohcs' views and values grow on Cima and she comes to admire him, considering him a funny-sort-of-father-like-figure. Troublesome trio of mentor, student, and really big cat.
- ■ Cima learns how to really fight - Fohcs passes down his expertise in combat and weaponry, fashioning her with a rapier to accommodate for her size and strength. "Each day is a lesson."
- ■ Some cycles later (Cima, thirteen). The wildlife has been behaving peculiarly and the group decide to trek through the dunes to pay Fohcs' sister, Wilfie, a visit in Ul'dah. Cima is impressed by their collaborative collection of treasures.
- ■ Fohcs seeks answers. A military draft is received. After deliberation, Fohcs takes up arms with the Immortal Flames and leaves Cima and Koena to Wilfie until his return.
- ■ Calamity - the fall of Dalamud. Contrary to the wishes of the Styr-siblings, Cima can't stay idly by and takes up Koena as courser, racing to the Carteneau Plains to "save" Fohcs.

Abilities
Skills
- ■ Stealth - Crouching Miqo'te, hidden hunter.
- ■ Survivability - Wild child, born and raised. Above statement also applies. Recognizes the Bare Necessities.
- ■ Archery - Just a skill inherent of her race; no bulleyes but usually hits her target - enough to hinder/occasional fatal shots.
- ■ Swordplay - Adept with a knife. Prefers short, light blades. Mentored by Fohcs... but in his absence has neglected practicing.
- ■ Lute-playing - Adopted hobby from Fohcs. A tad obsessive with its condition, as it is her last memento of him.
- ■ Hand-to-hand combat - Against her protests, Wilfie enlisted Cima with the Platinum Mirage as a diversion from her gloom. "Ge' off yer arse an' do somethin' wit' yer sorry life! Sheesh." - Said the wise Wilfie. She can pack a punch even if she's not an outstanding fighter.

Fhae is a pawnbroker at Finders, Keepers on Emerald Avenue, Ul'dah. They receive their fortuitous stock (for various reasons) from all corners of Eorzea. If your character requires something unusual, be it an antique or product of the black market - please give me a ring! It'd be fun to make some connections this way. Wilfie sends Fhae out to do all sorts of odd jobs - be it errand-running, pick-ups and drop-offs, and hunting for treasures of their own. If you have a courier, merchant, smuggler, treasure hunter, thief, etc that counts as a potential connection as well! Also, obviously, no reaaal gil is required for this role-play idea, I just wanna have an excuse to mingle with all sorts of character breeds (and have fun doing it!). The price would be pretend-gil or shinies of some-sort or another. Fhae and Wilfie collect rabbit trinkets. I'm not sure what my schedule will be like at the time of release, but I hope to be able to invest a good chunk of my time into gaming and such. |
